No problem at all Dazmond with GoCardless. The amount of time it save in not having to check bank statements and chase people for payments is well worth the 1% fee imo.

Steve all my franchisees have their own GoCardless account and their customers are signed up to their individual accounts. As and when changes are made a simple letter explaining the changes to them and they sign up to someone elses.

Gocardless is brilliant at most things - but it sucks when it comes to payment between currencies.

I live in Ireland & have a €uro bank account - and the silly fees over here make opening a Sterling account prohibitive when the value of each incoming payment is relatively low - - but Gocardless won't allow me to take payments in Sterling & have them deposited to my €uro account - even though I regularly get manual bank transfers in different currencies.

Its a great system for most ppl, but this one major limitation means its 100% useless for me. :(

Thanks Sunshine

I assume you take your banks details off your calling cards and offer Go Cardless only

What details do you give the customer to make payment too, is it Go Cardless's bank details?

We have only been using Go Cardless since April and as of today have 1001 customers now using it.

I think its a fantastic system and it really is transforming my business. I love the email just before 4pm each day that tells me how much money has just dropped into the bank account.

If your not using it yet you should look into it. Hoping to reach 2000 users by the end of the year.

You must've gone really aggressive on it?  Has it cost you any customers?

Hi Steve

There are two options of utilising GoCardless in conjunction with Aworka, 1: as Sunshine explained 2: Similar to 1 except the payment goes to a central account, clients sign up once regardless of how many operators service the account- not the greatest explanation but I trust it makes sense, perhaps Vin can explain better as I believe he uses this option. Either way clients sign up via a link in the paperless emailed invoice.

We do it through a central account.  We collect the money acting as agents for the franchisees - we also make it clear that the money's never ours.  Much simpler for the customer IMO as the franchisees can swop work if necessary without any action from the customer.

Im in long process of getting my clients to pay via online banking and is proving successful and at no charge to myself (as of yet), however it is a pita of a job to search through my paying in section to see whos paid.
Does go cardless send you a report of whos paid as well as the total amounts per day/wk or month?
I get this all the time because thick customer don't put reference as an address..."windows". wtf. I have a very small round and spend ages messing around trying to link a name to an address

Vin, Thats what I wanted to hear, If a franchisee leaves, setting the new franchisee up would be a straight forward process

Another quick question

Does Go Cardless only request payment from customer when job is marked of as done on Aworka?
