Does it need to be portable? There are some good, inexpensive units on eBay for static units  you could mount in your van (around the £650 mark)

How about just buying a hot pressure washer ? you could get one for around £750.

I've found the big companies charge a high price for Hot boxes, there is one on eBay  now at £1700.

What will you use it for?

What machine are you connecting to? Unless you are using a really high flow spinner you will have problems with a hotbox on tile cleaning they are designed for 15lt/min flow machines

For tile cleaning I would be inclined to rely on chemicals rather than heat

It seems to have been very popular for a few years now to use a TM carpet cleaning machine for indoor tile cleaning work using these type of tools. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZB9nn2fhILo

1.  That showroom is not dirty it is just a bit of soiling.
2.  It is he High Alkaline Cleaner that has been dwelling on that floor has done the work!
3.  Those guys are very inexperienced!
4.  You start on the dirt and work backwards not clean a floor and walk on it.
5.  It has to be  sales video done only in the Good Old  USA ;D ;D ;D

Guessing this is mine I have for sale Mike? £1700 is a very fair price and I'm open to offers.

I'm not a big company and secondly this hotbox isn't really comparable with a lavor or Mac, the Mazzoni simply wipes the floor with those.  Buy cheap buy twice. I agree for internal floors though, it isn't necessary.

Neil, yes I've just looked it was the one you are selling that I saw at £1700 but don't think my comment was meant to be critical of it.......you can see it's not your average hotbox.

 looking at this listing....

There's Mac & Lavor machines selling at £1550 which don't look the same quality, I remember seeing a Portitechnica hotbox at a trade show years ago, this made me appreciate that hot boxes come in many different levels of quality

This one is very interesting , never seen a gas boiler before, I think it would easier to control and create less smoke. (So better for units mounted in vans)
