I'm sure they are making it into a family outing in the works cement mixers - truck one filled with 50 gross of eggs mixed with pig slurry and "squeegee off" for the windows - truck two with quick setting cement for the drains.
It's a game of three halves!

As the behaviour of not paying is persistent, I'm wondering if there is sufficient proof of intent not to pay.  Attempted fraud and moving this from civil law to criminal law is the way I'm thinking with this one.  If enough people got together and made a complaint to the police, there could be enough there to show intent.  The police don't like getting involved in such stuff but ultimately, it's a CPS decision.

Hi
Not been logged in for a while but think a warning is in order.
Huddersfield is going through a massive University expansion (Chinese students / Big Money).
Been contacted twice now for clean at a new build. They are actively seeking new 'mugs'
Told Alisha her company has a bad reputation for not paying.
Her reply "We only have a bad reputation from window cleaners who don't know how to clean windows properly!"
Be warned. If you're a window cleaner who knows or doesn't know how to clean windows properly.
Money up front is in order!

I wish Id seen this sooner,

Exactly as you said Alisha contacted me for some urgent window cleaning  work to be done in bournemouth, and i still haven't been paid for it nearly 3 months down the line.  Not replying to me emails now and Daniel the owner said it would be paid last month, surprise, surprise hes no longer replying either.

Absolute Jokers.

on a side note I use https://www.thomashiggins.com/ for debt collecting its very cheap to send a letter before action ect and they are great. I had to use them for an outstanding payment from lego land  and well it got paid 7 days after contact.

I was fortunate enough to see this thread after doing a search a few month back.

Alisha contacted me for an urgent clean on a refurbished care home in Sunderland. There were cement and stickers on all the windows and we quoted £1500, she told us that their budget only allowed them to pay half that. By this point I had done the search and confronted them about their reputation for being bad payers. I was told that they always paid providing the work was up to scratch otherwise they didn't receive payment themselves. I told them if they were only willing to pay half of what the going rate is for a job they would always get sub standard work, and at that point I walked away. Interestingly they continued to call one of my employees, who I had asked to do the initial quote in my absence, in the hope that he would do the job on the side.

Similar story to everyone else. Got contacted about 2 years ago about a big student block of flats in York. 8 Stories high, had to be cleaned using an 82ft Gardiners pole. So I quoted £900 as they hadn't been cleaned for 3 years and there were about 400 windows. They came back and said they'd spoken in the office and worked out that a days labour for one man was £120 so they can't see why its not around £300. I laughed and told them to jog on, it's not worth it. In the coming days Daniel rang again, and again and steadily the price rose to the £900. I turned round and said if its taken him that long to get up to that price it'll take an age to get money out of them. Went with my gut and told him to forget it and get someone else. Few more calls and protests later he left me alone, windows still look filthy now!! Stay well clear as i've heard of mates who've worked for them on new stores and haven't got their money till legal action has been threatened. Agree with the above, stick at the top so people avoid getting ripped off.
