of lateral or traditional one finger operated clamps!!!!
It was a good try with the laterals but no shame in admitting defeat :)

Spinning clamps, continuously tightening them up during the day, result, wearing out the pole sections!!
The old type stay in one position and only need re adjusting occasionaly.
To be fair, the other makes are worse than Gardiners but he pioneered the use of them!!

Hi stevieg

Just seen your posts.

Realistically you should not be having any such issues with our poles. The Smart clamps have been around for 3 or 4 years now and we have sold about 40,000 poles in that time with them fitted.

The latest versions are the best ever and resolve most issues facing pole users in everyday use.

To look into your issues properly I really would need some more details. Can you drop me an email on alex@agardiner.co.uk with the following details:

1. Purchase date of the pole and your name and address
2. Pole size and type
3. Gooseneck and brush fitted
4. Any modifications or additions fitted
5. Hose and valve fitted
6. Which clamps are affected
7. Have you contacted our Customer Service team previously about this and if so what issues where raised and what advice or solutions were offered
8. What is your maintenance schedule on the pole
9. Close up photos of any clamps that are causing issues
10. Close up photos of any sections affected

With the above information I should be able to look into this for you properly and advise further.

I would ideally like all of our customers to get the best possible working life from our poles. Hopefully we can help you achieve this as well  :)
