I have a greasy curry vomit   and god knows what other stains there are in this carpet I was thinking of using Chemspecs rocket fuel has anyone else got any idea's  woudl something like Prochems  power burst be better ? I should point out that this isn't just the one stain all the carpets are like this

I'd be enclined to use an enzyme based cleaner. Enzal or shockwave

Curry and vomit stains will probably be permanent. Power burst will probably work as well though.
You'll need some heat for grease.

Thanks Neil I should have explained a bit better I have already used shockwave customer was happy
got paid two weeks later  Letting  agent and owner on phone not happy  I  had already explained to customer that the carpet were beyond being cleaned to any sort of standard I'm going  back as a good will gesture as I get a lot of work through this customers employers she has  told me they were like that when she moved in she has a letter to prove I just think they are going for new carpets whatever I do .The carpets  were just full of stains I know I should have walked

And that's the type of jobs you walk away from... Just tell them its F'ed and no amount of cleaning will bring it back to a reasonable standard.

Have you done any training?  Is it wool or synthetic carpet?

If you really want to do it: The vomit should come out with enzall. Nice and hot and lots of dwell time. And the curry stains "might" improve using dyegone from chemspec or Shift from Craftex. If the vomit is not coming out with the enzall it also need reducing so use Shift or dyegone on that too. Be warned that those products can dye the carpet if you don't know what your doing.

there are some jobs you just cannot do justice with. I walked away from  a £380  just not worth spending all day on, doing your best with, then getting hassle with payment due to the fact the carpet still does not look like new...........

I know Tim the lady I done the work for was happy she's Indian  and they come across here to work under contract to  a big firm I get loads of work from there I explained it all to her But she still wanted to go ahead  I could just wash my hands of it all But I want to try and keep everyone happy  And of course enhance my reputation as much as possible

I agree, had this many times.  really warn grubby carpets,  and you know categorically they won't improve much.   Had one two weeks ago in a student property for a private landlord.  it was a 10 bed house, carpets in every room apart from bathroom and kitchen, and everyone of the carpets we really grubby.  Charged him £40 per carpet to clean due to being bulk.   I have a number in my phone of a carpet supplier/fitter who is half the price than shops, as he works from his van.  Told (Pete, landlord)  about the carpet man, but still refused to have them replaced.   Because he was adamant he wanted the carpets cleaning no  matter what, I cleaned them.  Not much difference after the clean.

If the carpets were very thin, and I could have seen the floorboards, I would have 100% not cleaned them.

dont forget the difference between removal and restoration. spots add substance and are easy to remove, but a stain requires corrections and in my book that carries a higher skill and risk level. and is called restoration.

restoration is not cleaning. in my city and guilds the definition of cleaning was "not smelling badly,  absence of any visible soil".

anything that needs restoration is damaged.
