Had a custie ask me yesterday how she can remove marks on wall left after removing climbing ivy? Any idea's?

I would imagine the marks are where the roots have grown into the wall and scared the building I don't think anything would remove that it may fade in time

It's what remains of the aerial roots that comes with ivy growing up walls. The easiest way to get rid is to clear as much of the ivy off the wall by pulling, scraping, struggling and plain physical labour. Then using a hot air paint stripper on the small aerial root remnants. Gently, so as not to scorch the brick work. Then brush it down.

Well I knew what Billy meant. 

If like me it doesn’t help being corrected in public if you happen to be severely dyslexic and rely on spell checkers or predictive text.

Try using a steamer perhaps might end up being easier & quicker?

I like the comment of this lady having ivy removed from her house when she does a close up at the wall afterwards and says "It don't look too bad." 

 I'm guessing they are not going to clean the brickwork afterwards and I don't blame them do you

Nothing to be shocked about Rob, that's a great way to remove any of the Ivy stuck in the render before painting which is

Its good to see a painter actually going to the trouble of doing that, most guys I know would have just painted over the top
of it.lol.
