PMSL, yeah. I joined as a junior soldier in the Royal Armoured Corps at Bovington Dorset in Sept 74 aged 16. They sent us out in Chietain tanks for a 10 day exercise, 4 men to a tank. That was hell. Then after 6 months got out and 18 months later joined the real Army.  Did 9 years and loved most of it.

No, mate.  STABS don't even rate near the Catering Corps, which incidentally has the toughest course in the British army.

I was five years old when you first joined up, BTW, you old SWEAT!

I wouldn't be bootneck is slang for royal marines so I certainly am not an ex bootneck

i went to join the R.M but told to short am 5.2 to join you got to be at least 5.4 so join TA I WAS GLAD couldn't do the 30 mile hike
