Vat free at Amtech at mo
« on: May 30, 2016, 08:21:11 am »
Good deal if your not a vat business
Thinking of buying their mid sized extractor as a back up machine to TM , only one 6.6 vac though
Has anyone got one here and how does it perform?
Or would I be better going for the larger machine with 2. Lamb motors?

I switched on one 6.6 today to see the performance  ...  barely tickled my palm

Thee is no excuse to buy a single vac machine imo  ....  and for 2600 ?
they are good to deal with but come on .

I've got one, they are fine with 25 ft hose length , good machines and heat is ok.
If you want longer hose length then look else where.

looks like you could custom squeeze another 6.6 along side  ,  would be a far more usable machine ,
I would connect it in series , perhaps have a metal mounting plate with a hose connector made ... then just attach the white hose coming off the motor in the pic to that and vent the new motor out the machine  side  . No need for additional switches etc ...  ( would be good to add a delay  module or soft start inline  ) total cost . 100 for the vac , about 40 for the mountain plate . ( delay 30 ? )

after sales maintenance is very good.

This deal will have an affect on second hand prices for high end portables, nice if you need one

Should be some room as they originally had 2 x 3 stage in series.

Thing is you don't seem to be able to buy a machine with twin 6.6 vacs  500 psi pump and a heater due to the electrical load, so maybe the twin lambs would be better option?

Alltec evolution got round that by fitting a smaller inline on each cord and combining the two , not sure if there are using the 6.6 these days .   Ashbys have a twin 6.6 enforcer with an immersion heater on a third cord .
In reality you could run the powerflite with two 6.6 one one cord ...  its just they can sell you one like that .
Powerflites are ok im sure , i would go for the twin vac ,  also look at configuring an airflex custom/storm on cleansmart site  ...  look at alltec machines like the elite ,  and ashbys enforcer if in budget

Cheers for the input John
Decided on the twin vacced powerflite, had a play with it today and seems a great machine for me to use as a back up, would recommend to others
