Sounds like you have it sorted now any ways and will have trouble free battery for next 18  to 24 months.
I just wanted to add that my 110 battery died on me and I needed to replace a month ago. Bearing in mind I use a scr ( and if I didn't I'd recharge each night ) I started to question why I needed a 110 ? I used to have to lug it in to a first floor flat maybe every month or two to bench charge overnight and with sometimes being parked a couple of hundred yards from my home weren't much fun. So I've downsized to a 55 AH

So far so good and at £35 if its buggered after even a year so what ?!
crikey at that price you may as well buy two, charge and swap each day.
I don't know what size battery you were using but I only mention it because for a while ( at least ) until the pump packed up I was using a portable pump box ( as a short term fix when I changed to a new vehicle ) with a 17 AH battery that lasted me pretty much a full 7 hour day, so a 55 AH more than adequate, half the size and weight !

When I took  my leisure battery back I just told them I was using it to pump water from one tank to another no problem at all

Apparently batteries aren't supposed to go below half power as it damages them so if your battery is only 55ah you'll be damaging it everyday, got told this a few years ago so don't really know how true it is so don't take offence  maybe someone with more know how can let us know?

Yeah I heard that too and take your point. I was using a 17 AH before in a temporary  portable pump box as already mentioned and that would easily last all day, even if you were to double that it would be less than a 55. I do use a scr however but don't know how many miles I'd need to drive daily to keep it topped up ( guess I average about 20 a day, but sometimes more ). I think it may have been Spruce who explained it in more depth. Its been a month so far and all has been good, not once needed a bench charge but I suppose I will have to reserve my judgement for another 6 months at least.

I know what you mean about lugging them around like I've got a 115 ah and only move it about 10 meters and it kills me lol

Did you no that caravans have shureflow pumps to run the water from there taps the power comes from the Numark Battery that installed when the caravan is purchased .

The tap isn't running all day like our systems are, maybe that's their argument with it
