What's happened to the Cleaner Planner forum?
« on: May 22, 2016, 09:45:35 pm »
Just logged on and seen its been removed  ???

Shame that as i always found it useful when in need of a quick fix by any one of the members or just seeing how others use the system which might benefit myself.

No prior explanation/discussion from Rob? Im already struggling to see the new feature the message says has been added 'alternating price' on my iPhone or maybe it hasn't been done at Apple's end yet which means it hasn't actually been added?!

Go in to 'JOBS' click on a job, click on 'PRICE'.

Cheers mate, i think I've done it correctly, under 'other prices' i selected the 'alternate price' and entered the other amount, then i entered the next price as standard/alternate.

TBH ive found the CP forum annoying at times as every time i log in i can see in the right hand corner how many posts have been posted and i have to take a look.most of the time its really basic stuff that some window cleaners cant seem to grasp straight away that could easily be solved by playing about with it,emailing rob/the other guys that work for him direct or looking on the help page.

plus theres always window cleaners trying to over complicate it by coming up with ideas that i certainly dont want.it works fine as it is.

then you get other guys that start slating it/getting personal and putting up daft posts without much thought before posting.

im glad its gone.its not necessary. ;D
price higher/work harder!

It wasn't an email I said a message. Try checking forum out on a PC/laptop. Should then pop up.

I wouldn't say I'm glad it's gone but I agree with most of that.

It had started to get repetitive and some of the users were beginning to treat it like CIU.

I also agree, a huge amount of varied suggestions on the forum almost on a daily basis probably bogged it down. It was still a good source for ideas of how others use the system though. I've beta tested CP for Rob in the past and it was always good to see the forum used as the first announcements for new updates but i presume the forum tab will now be the base for new info.

Let’s just say JD likes a bargain as is Scottish after all.  ;D

However I do understand where he is coming from though price wise as some would find the monthly cost increase a bitter pill to swallow if they are not vat registered. £50 + vat a month is not cheap by any means to folk that are sole traders. Plus the added cost of optional apps integrated into the software it can soon all mounts up.

I don't see why a sole trader would require such software to begin with?
