4040 stainless steel ro setup, help

Hi guys, have finally got myself a 4040 ro setup, it's the stainless steel one with a prefilter, can anyone send pics of how theres is setup, the instructions i got is for the plastic type, i need help with the stainless steel one, connectors, which hose used and how all put together etc.

Fittings would surely be the same, I think everyone uses standard bsp threads etc..

yep fittings in sure are the same, the setup is different, just want some pics to try to make things easier

I'm guessing here, but as all these r/o's have the same membranes you will have 1 fitting at one end and 2 fittings at the other end.

The single fitting on the one end will be the inlet from your prefilters.  On the other end, the outer fitting (closer to the rim of the housing) will be waste and the center outlet will be pure.

If you connect the inlet up and turn your water on (using prefilters) the water that rushes out of the other end will be waste outlet. Hardly any pure will come out of the other outlet.

The waste needs to be throttled back with a gate valve or similar to force water through the membranes.

thanks spruce, makes sense, i have a few connectors missing, company is sending them to me, hopefully will make a bit more sense then
