personally i havent' had much luck with Facebook advertising. i got some enquiries from pay per click on Facebook, but they were all just out of my area so not worth having, despite me trying to set the advertising area as well as i could

We have an active Facebook but the majority of enquiries are of poor quality - that's not to say a nice job lands once in a while.

Website on the other hand brings in very, very good leads, both residential and commercial.

Parish mags
Sign written van

Pick up average 3 customers a week on Facebook.  Literally 5 minutes every night. That's all it takes. And no one toothless so far.

Not for me then as most would probably die of shock of how much I would charge anyway

Not going to lie Facebook has brought me over 50 quotes in a couple of years.
however I pay now and again to sponsor my page wich means anyone who likes it, their friends see it, and it gets passed around that way.

What I will say is, when you receive a message off the potential customer always say "hello, are you wanting a one off clean or would you like to join our monthly cleaning service"
This usually sorts out the "full time mummy's wanting a once 10yearly clean"

Deffo worth doing if you know how to advertise on fbook

I have a Facebook page which has got me a few good customers. In my town there is a 'Do You Know' Facebook page on which members can ask anything about anything local. Some of my customers are members, so have referred inquirers either to me directly or to my page.

I think using Facebook thats the type of window cleaner you're likeley to get !!!!!!

Hi Andy,

Avoid the for sale, free and wanted sites. They're full of people wanting something for nothing.

Gained a few through my Facebook page but not a huge amount.

Dont under estimate the power of social media to give either a good or bad rep about your business!

I use facebook and "things for sale" as this is free advertising and can be used weĺl for things like advertising conny roof cleans or  pressure washing jobs. The jobs shich are one offs. Also you will find many of your existing customers use facebook and can use this to recommend you. As other comments have said, you need to kno how to use it effectively and sort out the dross. But i have gained many long standing n good customers this way and the one off jobs that i advertise.
However i also agree on using a well thought out webpage, which im in process of trying to sort out and facebook can also direct people to your site as well

A couple of good ones but majority are crap , I had one yesterday asking if I could do a one off before the weekend as her friends are coming over and her windows were filthy . They buy these houses, let their new Windows become really dirty for 4/5 years then ring us asking for a one off And expect us to charge normal rates.

My one off clean charges now are ridiculous because I just can't be bothered

Im yet to have anything of Facebook and spent about £100 on it
