  Hi David,

No didn't speak to you guys at Windex, I went through your webiste as you
were about to start up. You had an advert on distrubutors across country
which I sent an email to Julie Philips and offered my services for next to nothing,
had a reply etc.. to which I replied then  no more info. Hence wasn't interested
going any further as one thing I was looking for was customer service.

Today I had a problem if I relied on suppliers I would have lost maybe 2 days
work a small item that costs pennies. My Y connection on the brush broke
luckily I had a spare, these little things cost money in downtime therefore
it is something I recomend to others to keep who I help out.

Glad you looking into things but these guys are spending thousands on
equipment and we know what the true cost is ;).

But my veiw on this like British Gas, companies like yourselves should have
some service engineer within 70 miles of each other. I'm sure folks would
spend that bit extra on a service contract like that as time is money.

Hence why I have advised most people to go the DIY route, you know what you
have built and you can fix it most of the time yourself. This I have helped some
up here in Scotland to do and gone out my way to fix their system if it breaks
  down.

Sorry David but this is a bit of my old Business Management head on, if I sold
this product this is what I would offer and I'm sure you would have that extra
  edge on your competitors.

All the best , though  I'm still DIY until companies go that extra mile on these
  small things.

Hi Doug,

Well thought out reply. As you have experience in business managment you will be well aware that building a national service infrastructure is time consuming and very expensive however the service benefits we mentioned earlier are well in progress, so get your cash out we are that company... ;D

On a different note, when we had our new computer system installed, shortly after our website went live, we lost alot of e-mails that were stored on our database at that time. (An error by the IT technician) It could well have been the reason why we did not reply to you, so please accept our apologies if we have caused any offence.

David.

No offence caused David, I was originally looking to buy direct from a major
company. The one thing I was looking for was communication, that put me off
a lot as there seems to be a lot of can't get hold of Joe Bloggs when you read
  these forums.

I went on a coarse some time back with a major player and am still awaiting
my cert even after a few phone calls. To me that tells me they are only after
the money and not the customer after sales support.

In my small town I am the most expensive window cleaner around as most
charge £5 compared to my £9. My business has not expanded by door knocking
but by recomendation, customer service is No.1. The amount of comments I get
in that they would have rather have someone who is trustworthy and reliable
knows I am going right somewhere, def aint my looks ;D.

My next step is expansion so in the process in doing that, so who knows if
I feel your service is good I may one day knock on your door.

Hope it all goes well for you guys, sun is out so off to work know.

  Doug
