« on: May 01, 2016, 06:53:45 pm »
Im having a problem with my v3 back pack , only been used a handful of times .

flow has slowed to a trickle and when you stop the flow it keeps pumping and does not cut out .

Any ideas?

It's more likely the chepo flow reg has gone caput or a wire has come loose somewhere.
I take it the battery is taking a charge and is fully charged when this happens?

Just another thought you have not been putting a strong mix of hypo in it have you as could knacker the pump if not careful?

Air?

Let it run on full whack for a few mins with the pole lower than the outlet of the backpack, see if that helps
Why don't you have a quick google before making stupid comments?

Are you using a hose reel with it?
if so try priming the pump first without it connected and see if it makes any difference as the longer the hose the more time it takes to get all the air out.

I've not taken one of these pumps apart but there are valves in it. Is it possible that some debris has got sucked in and obstructed a valve? Bit like a heart valve. Pressure would drop virtually to zero. Could the diaphragm has split? Just some ideas to be going with

no hosereel , straight to pole , been working this way fine before .

I only use it about every 6 weeks on a gated development , 6 of the cottages need to go through house to do backs .

Alex says it sounds like the pump diaphragm  has split so is sending out a new pump.

He gave me the choice of that or sending it back for them to do it.

Excellent service as usual  :)

Not all that impressed with mine. The battery won't keep a charge after only using it a handful of times.
