I finally got around to knocking up a 210 litre water butt today with a float valve fitted for pressure washing jobs as got fed up asking customers if I could borrow their wheelie bin.  Only has taken me about 8 years to do so not bad going really  ;D

Good idea!

Does the direct feed not work with your washer?

It's got a standard water butt tap to drain most of it out if need be to empty it to move or pack away which is good enough for me. The inlet and filter to the washers is just dumped in the top opening as could not be arsed at anymore of my diy skills and I'm sure I will not be trying either  ;D

Don't blame you, I once converted a wheelie bin and had to crawl in head first to get a bulkhead fitting it the bottom, just as my new neighbours pulled up, they still don't talk to me  ;D

It's just an old water butt and ballcock valve I had already then once the ballcock was fitted  just screwed on standard garden hose tap conector on to it... Job done.

You can get all the parts from the likes of wicks or screwfix.

And if you don't have a water butt then this would do or look about for a cheaper one http://www.screwfix.com/p/water-butt-accessory-kit-green-230ltr/72869

No probs.

I also bought 100 ft xhose today to try one out as can throw it in the butt to store it when not in use.
I've just got to remember though not to hit it with the pressure washer lance or fsc whilst working as would rip it apart.
