Canvasser recommendations (Yorkshire)
« on: April 23, 2016, 03:39:37 pm »
Hello all

Can anyone recommend a good canvasser/team of canvassers that cover North Yorkshire, or are happy to travel? I'm looking to expand the business a bit and I can't get hold of my existing guy for love nor money, which is a shame because he has been great.

I do some of my own canvassing, but get very, very bored very quickly and far happier paying someone else to do it while I run the rest of the business.

Thanks in advance!

Chris

Just used a company. charges 3x with no guarantee. expensive and risky but gets good prices (£8-£10 fronts) and £12 minimum full houses.

had the usual crap drop offs, messers, one offs, non payers etc, left with about 300 of ongoing work i reckon but only had it done last week so no way to tell yet.

worth it? i think so long term, if you can afford to wait for a return

At x3  with no guarantee your being ripped off my friend.

When i was doing it i charged x2 and replaced all genuine dropouts without question which kept me my regular clients and kept them happy(most of them lol)
People either like or hate canvassers but unless you do it yourself there will always be a need for canvassers.

Yep I know that mate and knew that before I did it but I was out of options. I've used p dale who no longer comes this far. I've used whizz who struggled in my area and I've tried to do it myself dozens of times but it's just not for me. I've advertised on Gumtree for months to employ my own and had no end of messers or lads that do it once and don't want to do it again. 3x with no guarantee is way too much I know that buy I decided to take the risk as I was frustrated at my customer count having not moved for 6 months.  In the end it's a lottery what results you will get from canvassed work a bit like betting on red or black.
