Has anyone used a wagtail jetstream for glass Juliet balconies?
Reason why I ask as my thinnest  stock wfp brush don't fit in the stupid narrow gap under the glass Juliet balconies so was wondering if a wagtail jetstream would fit ok to clean the other side of the glass also the lower half of the windows.

Oh well in for a penny in for a pound I've just ordered a 14" wagtail jetstream MK2 just to see if that will work on them or not.
If it don't and is a load of poop will stick it my poop box with the rest of the useless things I've bought  ;D

Really! I thought it was just me  ;D

Anyhow after seeing wagers old vid using the prototype jetstream it may just work fine on glass Juliet balconies. That's if I can get it in the narrow gap and can get the right angle working directly underneath it.

In principle being a swivel mop and having a top rinse bar can give them a good scrub and rinse at the same time which sounds good to me. Then also being a mop if need be can also use chems/soap if need be then give them a good rinse off.

Using a jetstream should be a darn site easier as they are filthy than trying to use normal trad gear, little waffle cloths etc on them and/or up a ladder trying to clean them from the top.

By the way those glass Juliet balconies has never been cleaned. Even their last window cleaner refused to do them.. I wonder why  ;D

Hi Smurf, if you are going to be using little waffle glass cloths on awkward Juliet glass balconies its best to use them in combination with a telescopic handle and flat 30cm aluminum mop frame the type which has two velcro strips on the base. use one of them damp just with water and as the little waffle weave structure of the cloths will attach to the velcro strips you can then clean both the outside and inside glass panel as the telescopic mop will easily fit up through or down through the small gap, then take off the damp cloth and put a dry one on the mop frame to polish off. Thanks that was another option I was considering but to be honest I did not want to mess about like that as the glass is filthy.

Best solution i can offer in that case is to use a magic eraser mop pad that will stick onto the velcro strips and just use it with water to deep clean the filthy glass, i will say with confidence when it comes to deep cleaning filthy glass no type of wfp brush or any type of applicator will compare to the incredible  results achievable when utilizing melamine pads. I tried making an extension that could clean from the top but alas it did not work ofter many tries.I clean them from the inside and flush them each monthwhich keeps them clean.

Magic eraser mop pads have a brush nylon backing which will grip on tight to the mop frame of most internal window cleaning systems, great tool and method for deep cleaning filthy glass on the likes of awkward juliet balconies.

Thanks Tadgh, I did not realise you could get magic eraser mop pads as also maybe an option.

Where is the best place to get them from (got any links)?

Idealy I want magic eraser mop pads and a mop head the same size and most importantly that has a euro thread so can fit directly onto a euro thread wfp plastic angle crank.

Reason why I say it's important for the mop head to be an euro thread apart from wanting it to fit directly onto a wfp I do have some tools and adapters that have the wider type thread but they do my head in as can keeps coming undone and spinning whilst working.

The property in question is a second home so no one is there most of the time so I don't have any access to the inside to get at what I can.  As mentioned previously it's a real ball ache to get to the back of the balcony glass and the lower glass sliding patio doors behind them so hopefully a 14” wagtail jetstream will be the answer. That's if I it will fit in the narrow gap in the lower frame.

Will soon find out as expecting delivery sometime tomorrow so will post some feedback by the end of the week if it works or not.

Hi Smurf, if you google melamine mop pads you will find them online, send me an email if you like to info@jskcleaning.ie and i will also be happy to send you on info and pricing. for cleaning awkward juliet balconies especially if the glass is filthy i wouldn't bother unless you have access from the inside as they really are a pain otherwise, just tell the customer if they want them done properly you need to have access from the inside. Thanks Tadgh, I managed well enough from the outstside with a wagtail jetstream in the end. I also figured out how to get a wfp swivel brush in between the frames at the bottom in the end as well just about but was not ideal.

Regards cleaning them from the inside like I mentioned before you can't really get to all sides of the glass from the inside anway being a sliding door. The door pushes out and along so not only covers the fixed panel of glass with the door open also makes the gap even smaller to try and clean the inside of that section of juliet balconey glass in front of it too.

Mind you I should have put on my wet gear and wellies as using wfp method I got soaked having to work directly underneath them...Doh!  ;D

That was all in the property exterior deep cleaning price so really was a freebie as you do.
Anyhow I wanted the challenge if I'm honest to see if I could do it or not as run of the mill stuff gets really boring to do.
