I'm based Scottish Borders, there's a place in Carluke, so will go through them in the future.

Already tried for a refund but he refused,  if it comes down to it I'll just Sue and claim back loss of earning aswell but hopefully it won't come to that. He's sending brand new bits so if it fixes it, jobs a good un and I can move on

Winding an unloader down all the way can cause you issues with the engine bogging down and in theory can pop the unloader. BUT if the unloaders are set when they are made the lock nuts should prevent that happening. I would think the pump has dead headed if the head itself was leaking. Not usually terminal but I wouldnt want to have to ship it back to Ireland at my own expense it costs a fortune.  :(

According the trading standards if the goods are faulty the seller is liable for all costs (postage, repair). and if they say the buyer is at fault for damage they have to prove it.

Once the unloader had popped I took the adjuster off to check the nuts and they where at 2/3 down, so no problem there? I was sucking water out of a clean bucket with clean water supply aswell! But there is two filters so any debry shouldn't of got through to block unloader

You need to man up and tell the Irish twat you want your money back, chuck the heap on a pallet and sent it back to paddyville, report him to trading standards and start a court case for which he will have to travel back to the mainland. Then you can buy a unit from someone over here and get some decent service
