I would like the opinions of ant body who has either the sapphire or the drimaster upholstery tool , good or bad.

I have had the drimaster 1 for the last 7 or 8 years and it is at the end of its life, so I have decided a new tool is in order, I am undecided between the 2, unless of course their are any other recommendations, or other new tools on the horizon.

Hi Geoff,
The DM1 was ok apart from it eating water. The DM2 was too cumbersome so I never ventured onto the DM3 and went for the Sapphire. Apart from being a lot lighter and much more manoeuvrable , it can be used in trigger mode so isn't flowing water all of the time and eating your tank as the DM's do.
I've got three Sapphires now think they are by a country mile the best upholstery tool I have ever had.

I went from the drimaster 1 which i had for 6 years and loved it to the rotovac which ive had for 2 years now and love it as well, never tried the sapphire but looks like a step up from the rotovac.

Well I took the plunge and gone for the sapphire, hope its as good as the reviews.

Ordered from JK at restormate.

Thanks Simon and Derick for your input,  I could have got by with a run of the mill tool but the easier I can make upholstery cleaning the better.

No , it won't do much other than flat cushions   
Nah , it's nice to use but keep an internal spray jet tool on hand also for any thing it's not great at .

What are the reason for saying that John ?

Never heard of them having a problem with some suites

You could use it on just about everything ...  just its not the most efficient tool for every situation imo .
Compare to a cfr there is less flushing action on really dirty fabric , the less pointy head is not as good at nooks and crevices or sharply rounded bits and i like a tool to spray out a bit to get into similar areas .
Only after using it will pros and cons be apparent , but then there are advantages also .

I have used the Sapphire in almost every conceivable circumstances and have found it deficient in none. I've heard people say you can't go round corners with the ss and you can't do this that and the other, all of which is cobblers to me. Like any other tool, it won't go round corners on it s own, or without using the right technique, like any tool, you need to learn how to use it.
