Hi guysI am in the market for a new pressure washer, I have used a honda GX390 the last few years which has been great but I'm wondering if its worth switching over to a yanmar diesel engine? For those with any experience is there any benefit to a diesel engine? I'm thinking it may be cheaper to run, are they more powerful then their petrol counterparts? Cost not particularly an issue and I am willing to spend more if it will last longer and have cheaper running costs in the long run. Thanks in advanceSimon
Hi Simon, Looking at the Yanmar you can expect 21LPM at about 190/200 Bar - the main advantage is the running cost of the machine, obviously being able to run on red yo can save 50% on fuel costs. The machines are initially more expensive though, but we see less faults on the Yanmar engines. Hi Ben How can you say that , being a yanmar is the engine . Doesn't mean it has a 21lpm/200 bar pump on it.Yanmar diesels are brilliant engines though have to say. Although Damien at qwashers told me if he is building from scratch ,he goes for the Kybota 3 cylinder.JohnBen
