Lee make sure you get a customer service adviser as well ;)

Those messages sent out weren't too clever, but I've got one review on Google and it's a bad 'un.

"Sadly, very rude when cancelling the service. Would have used again otherwise but I would never want to put up with customer service (rudeness) like that. Such a shame."

They "signed up" for a regular service and it was a real minger. They cancelled after the second clean because they were moving. When you're chasing work, you don't always charge for the first clean - particularly if you have set prices and don't visit . Anyway, in my reply to their cancellation I said it was deceitful to say they wanted a regular clean when it was merely to put the house on the market.

There are some people that just do this and unless you play the social, media game you aren't going to be chasing up loads of good reviews to discount the bad ones. In actual fact, I get very few customers percentage wise from the internet so I'm not too bothered. I suspect it's the same for Lee.

Fair play to you.
If you Belive in something that much then you have to follow it up and nothing says dedication like putting  your house on the line.

There seem to be more  and more on here that if someone is doing better than them or there earning more than them then it it can't be done  or true.

Some times big plans need big investment. A couple of years ago a window cleaning  firm got an investment of 3 million they now turn over 10million a year with the aim to turn 50million in 5 years time .
There are no limits to your business only thing that will slow you down is financing it.

Personally I wouldn't have the balls or want the streets of it  but I wish you all the best and hope it works for you.

Good post.

For those that are interested the business he is refering to is nation wide window cleaning run by thornton tasker. Now a multi millionair he started as a rsidential window cleaner.

1st of many questions I'm sure!

Are you having the leaflets repeat delivered to the same area, or are they being distributed to 1 million properties?

I'd have thought you'd get a better hit rate by the latter!

Good luck!

Oh yes I remember these very clearly.

well lets just say there is always 2 sides to each storey isnt there. We have several thousand customers, its a shame that its human nature to take more time to write this stuff than the nice stuff.

Im well known for telling customers what I really think either on the phone or email. I dont believe in letting people walk all over me,not pay, swear down the phone ect just because their the customer. Funny how they have left out the full picture of there reviews.

I think you all should know by now that in the residetial game its hard to keep everyone happy all the time. I feel thats a big reason why the biggest companies only do commercial work.

On first glance what you say may appear to be true but it is easy to read between the lines of these pathetic reviews which look like they were left out of spite.

The first one -it is obvious that the reviewer left much unsaid that would incriminate himself - and the second one I make 1st September to Nov 24th  is exactly 12 weeks. Let's give him the benefit of the lie and say it was the 7th September - well then that is 11 weeks and one day. Not the ten weeks he puts in his review.

And the numpty reviewer doesn't compute that 3 calendar months is 13 weeks approx and Lee is quite right the idiot is making a fuss if Lee turns up at 11.5 weeks.

I do hope however that Lee's spelling and grammar have been proof-read with a fine-toothed comb before committing to 1 million leaflets!
It's a game of three halves!

I'd like to ask about the co-ordination of this project Lee. At what point are you going to start leafletting and in co-ordination with that when are the new vans arriving?

What about new staff? Where are they coming from and how much experience will they have?

Im about to take a very big step and a big gamble in my finacial and business life.

I have sold my house to invest 1/4 million pounds (the equity) in my business which currently has 5 vans with me in a little (and very cold) office! Im moving back in with my parents and renting the spare room from them.  Its all going through on thursday this week.
<snip>

Brave or stupid?

You decide!

I've decided you're stupid sorry Lee. Let me tell you why...........someone else beat me to it and pointed out that you havn't actuall invested 250k, and as you say yourself you've invested only 150k and kept a deposit back. For this 150k you're going to get another 3 vans, thats a cost of 50k per van, thats just on your outlay, No idea how its gonna look with your predictions and costs/income.

In actual fact, the nett result of what you have done is lose your home, renew 5 vans, finance a marketting campaign and put 3 new vans on? Its worrying in so much as ..was the business not able to sustain renewing the  5 vans itself ? It should be.

Of course as you point out, the 8 new vans are on finance. So you havn't really invested in them, per se. Your actual investment is really a static system, and a 85k marketting campaign. And in order to do this, you've gave up your home. Thats not a luxury everyone can afford.

I'll suspect thats something you'll get good at, as you'll be chasing a lot of money. And you'll be watching your operatives on a tracker .So to summarise, you're living back with your parents, giving people crap on the phone or email, sitting in a posh portacabin all day, got a monthly finance bill for 8 new vans (i shudder to even think the amount you're paying) , and i think you have a Porsche or summat to drive round in ? One things for sure, you'll be booking a hotel if you fancy a naked romp round the house with a quick line on your birds arse (or guy if you're that way inclined) , either that or you have very understanding parents !!!

Anyway, Good luck with it. When i was 35 i was going to parents evenings at the kids school in my Sierra, I'm just jealous. You however Lee, are living the dream. I'm glad you shared it with us !!!    ;D  I would give my left leg to be living with my parents, watching a tracker in a portacabin.  <Thumbs up !!!>

Well thats me told. I better quit then.

Just point out to you its not replacing my 5 vans, the 8 are additional to them. I already use trackers and its a great thing to have for many reasons.

The p taking about living with my parents is all good mate. I really dont care what anyone thinks about that. I would rather not of course, but at the same time its a short time out of my life, and im willing to do whatever it takes to achieve my goals.

Im not precious about working in a porter cabin or a 5 star holtel. I simply want a nicer place to sit all day long.

So yes my investment will be spent on a static system, a new office and marketting to get work for the new vans. so what?? Ive financed every van from new that ive ever had. Not had any problems. Not sure what your problem is with that?

Im glad im not the only one thinking this!!
You can take a man out of a council estate, but not the council estate out of a man! A broad sweeping statement and apologies if offend. However there exists a common believe of  stereotype characters which live in such areas (didnt say they are my common beliefs). However, there is a ring of truth of a certain attitude in speaking your mind regardless, as in the disgruntled clients (who yes would only post negative views as many rarely take effort in posting praise) and also when asking for people's opinions only to be disgruntled by them. Maybe this thread isnt returning the full praise and admonition you was expecting.

From the small information you have provided of your own free will (which by the way is understandable), it raises more questions and concerns than any viable business plan which you may have portrayed as a good idea. Hence many of the replies on here, which are not directly trying to knock or pull you down from your dreams. But a small silly question. Would not a small spend on a luxury seat and desk, some decorative cost and a nice 50"  tv and a heater improve your business accomodation?

some people are never happy with what they ve already achieved/earn.5 vans on the road and its still not enough?so you sell your house, move in with mum and dad and take a big risk?

its entirely up to you of course,i wouldnt do it.have you ever thought the worry itll create for your parents?cos it will although they might not show it.

its overblown and seems reckless and  OTT what you plan to do but your a tart(as you admitted in one of your videos)and have a deep desire to be a  bigger company and earn more money than anyone else.so you take your chance, work every hour God sends and hope it works.

if it doesnt work out itll be a good cautionary tale to tell at AA meetings if you ever develop a drink problem(you ll be surprised how many workaholics/very ambitious people end up alcoholics!).

you probably have a much broader vision than most on here  who cant even contemplate such a (seemingly)reckless move but you must of crunch the numbers and have a solid plan.

like i said before in another post ambition can cut you down.....but hey if it works out in a few years you ll be quids in with a nice lifestyle off the tools and you can puff yourself up into an even bigger prideful balloon and gloat......I TOLD YOU! HE WHO DARES RODDERS!!! ;D ;D ;D
price higher/work harder!

Come on lads this is a windup thread..open your eyes....ITS APRIL FOOLS DAY TOMORROW!.
Who in there right man would get 8 brand new kitted out vans without the work to go with them.... just think if some idiot did actualy do that with millions of leaflets delivered how long it would actualy take to build 8 full compact decent 6/8/12 weekly rounds up. Finding reliable decent staff.....8 of them in 1 go! No chance...
As if a man at 35 will go live with his mummy and daddy if doing that well to save a few hundred pounds a month by renting a flat with so much coming in.

in 2009 lee had 2100 customers on 6/8/12 weeklys at average £17 a customer according to 1 of his first posts on ciu.
Being a single man turning over more than 300k a year not enough no?? That was 7 years ago so must be near double that he is turning over with all the growing and look at me threads he did. How many vans would he need to service 2100 customers?  My guess would be  5 minimum as i had 3 doing realy compact work with just 1200 customers. I wonder how many customers Lee actualy has at present.
Id love to eat my words but this has windup written all over it.
My view-Deffo stupid

Lee Pryor...Did you watch the programme 'Scrappers' last week

The chap who runs the scrap yard is doing well for himself, He now wants to sell his house and move into a caravan, so he can buy a £500k machine to push his business forward
