Looks really good!  Do you use a hot PW?  Or is that just Hypo?  I love it when you do a job for a customer who has bought a house an inherited paving with absolutely no idea of what the real colour is.

Excellent  job,  I'm always amazed when the colour of the sets is completely different from when it's dirty, you look at this job and think they will be a gray  colour then they turn out red.

Very pleased tho, hopefully get the front patio and drive ( approx 300 m2 ) soon  ;D

Don't you just love all those pots . ;D
To try and keep the freashly cleaned area as clean as possible unless they have a pot tray underneath them I tell them best you don't put them back afterwards.  Some even say it looks better without them so don't put them back anyway.

If customers pay me to come back to resand the joints I don't want them put back anyway as myself or the customer will just have to move them around again. Also usually underneath the pots are still damp so becomes a pain in the arse to resand the joints properly.

"If customers pay me to come back to resand the joints"

Hi, Smurf - I would never not resand joints.   Re-sanding is always included in my quotes.  What percentage of customers would you say you don't re-sand?

Hi, Smurf - I would never not resand joints.   Re-sanding is always included in my quotes.  What percentage of customers would you say you don't re-sand?

I never use too but I always break the quote down now. Then it's up to them if they want to resand the joints themselves or not as it's not diffilcult to do.  Also that way if they decide to do it themselves and quite a few do to save a few bob I don't have to pee about having to call back after a few dry days to do it. One job I did the weather was so bad I eventualy got  it done 2 months later.  ::)roll

I also insist now that if they want both done they pay for the clean on the day completed and again for the sanding job. That way you are not being messed about having to hang on until the job is completed to get paid in full. A good percentage will pay in full on the day of the clean including the resand job and sealing if required. However you will find some will not want to pay anything until you have come back and finished the job.

It's up to you how you go about quotes & payment terms but I find that way works best for me. Obviously if you are dealing with firms then that is a different story.

If re sanding I quote separately but take full payment after the clean, then I'm under no pressure to collect the second payment

About 50% of my customers do the sanding them self, which I prefer.

Interesting.  I never really thought about it, however it makes sense I guess if you have a number of jobs lined up, but if your having a slow patch it may be more profitable to sand as well.
