paver cleaning which methods would you use?
« on: March 16, 2016, 11:45:44 am »
What methods would you use to clean approx 200 m2 of manky pavers around this property?
Bearing in mind the inner courtyard has no outside access so whatever method/equipment used has to go through the property or over an outside wall from next door. The good news the inner courtyard does have an outside tap that can be used. The rest of the aspects of the property walls ares brick not wood cladding too.

Also come to think of it what methods would you use to clean the algae from the in courtyard brick wall?

It depends on what you have ! You could go the Kevin way and mono with high alkali, wet vac and rinse. You could lug your washer through or run a long hose from your machine to the courtyard.
The big question is "is there a manhole chamber in the courtyard ?" If there is I would jet into it from outside and then pull the washer hose into the courtyard then all the doors could be kept closed during  cleaning. You could also go down the quats route.
Rodney the choice is yours

I would park the van up near a water supply and run the hose over the wall, would just turbo it all and would also use hypo, like you says smurf, plenty of water will do the trick to rinse down.

I have just done a job this morn using hypo, the crap on the floor just peels off with hypo

Smurf ,
As Matty said over the wall. never through the house because of leakage and also marks left  on the flooring from the hose !
