Encapping/ Rotary: Showerfeed or Sprayer?
« on: March 13, 2016, 12:16:35 pm »
What do you use when you run your rotary?

Do you use your  showerfeed or do you prespray the encap solution?
I tried both but donīt get the right feeling for the showerfeed....i always use much more solution than using a sprayer!

What gives you the best result?

Electric sprayer everyone. ...gives pre spray some dwell time.
Impossible done straight away, miracles can take a little longer.

I didnt think encap needed dwell time, thought it was the agitation that did the work..........?

Same as John, we use electric sprayers which cover huge areas in a very quick time.

Thanks John and Darran. I think prespraying is the better way to control the solution.

@Darran which electric sprayer do you use?

I hope you donīt mind that i have a last question... I want to try Dynamall and as i have read you use it a lot and it works very well on coffee and tea stains. What is about traffic lanes in offices? Does it work as well or which encap solution do you use on this problem areas?

I find a second spray down and pass with the rotary usually does it   bit more solution down to start with as well.

got used to using my solution tank to feed the solution down, but as above that leaves no dwell time. Im missing something out!
Doing   a large dirty call centre tonight and i need all the help i can get so ill be pre spraying first, THEN going over with  another application of solution from the tank as i clean......   seems so obvious ???

Why would any body want to pre spray first?
I agree with you Tim, cannot see the point , I don't think encap solutions were specifically designed to be left to dwell, why would the design of machines like Cimex work the way they do?

Infact I have found from experience that less can be better, why waste money both on solutions and extra time?

I have no issues with dynamall, it is a very very good product (still makes you cough a bit).  With the heavily trafficked areas as norm, just make sure you give all the carpet a really good hoovering... sometimes (very seldom) you might have to extract the really bad areas first.  9/10 I just make sure the carpet (which is more trafficked)  is vacuumed really well... and bonnets work better in really bad traffic areas i haver found.  Just spray a good bit down.  Have you got any pics of the really bad bits?

You can see some pictures on my facebook page... Never put boiling hot or hot water through the electric sprayer (the one in the link i sent).   Just hand warm works a treat with Dynamall. Mix it in a bucket first then pour it in the sprayer...

Thanks so far for all your replys!

@ Darran: I have seen the pictures on facebook. Great "Before- After"  pictures.

As i used the Releasit products i used a bucket heater for the water. Used  a pump up sprayer and never had a problem. But good to know that you can get great results with Dynamall and hand warm water.

Will see if it makes me cough....
