£200 algoclear or £16 hypo, ummm difficault decision 🤔

Then how long have you got to wait for the full effect ? Mid summer ?? Most want to see where the money is spent, quarts has its place as a maintenance/preventative cleaning service.

I wouldn't hypo them algoclear the to should never meet

It does seem rather daft to spend a lot of money on using algoclear when hypo will do the same job with instant results at a fraction of the cost for sure.

Chris, what price do you pay for algoclear pro  and that gel as the price I was sent through seems very expensive to me?

For instance I can get 4x5 litres of this Didecyldimethylammonium Chloride for the cost of 2x 5 litres of algoclear (40% Didecyldimethylammonium Chloride) so it's 10% more concentrated too so will go further diluted down surely.

What do you think?

Algoclear is about £15 per litre which makes 40litres of "Render cleaner".
Bleach is £1.60 per litre which makes 5 litres of "Render cleaner" = £12.80 per 40 litres of "Render cleaner".
Algo clear is first press of the soya bean…cheaper DDac has added solvent during the extraction.
The Green Alage is gone whithin 24hrs useing Quats not "mid summer" as stated.

What dilution rate would you use this 50% at? The same as Algoclear 40-1

Going by what chris has said using 50% DDac 1 litre should make 50 litres of render cleaner I would have thought?
Anyhow I've been a bit put off buying cheaper after Chris mentioned the solvent thing.

Oh well that job is booked in the diary now so I better pull my finger out and order some algoclear.
After taking Chris advice I already have a pf trolley so will be using that and wfp with a stiff brush with fan jets fitted to apply the algoclear and brush it in for now. Apparently it goes frothy when brushed in so will not need to flood the walls like the vid and get loads on the ground below.  This will also save cost and the amount of chem need for that job all be it slower to do.

At some point will need to get another pump etc to make up a pump box for the van as am using the pf trolley static at the mo for wfp work.

If this algoclear render cleaning marlarky takes off will then with the money earned on that job and others put towards buying some better kit.

Can I ask what chems were used if any?

Reason why I ask is going by the pics what with the size of the red hose used, what looks like steam at the top of that wall and the after pic what looks like a lance line down that wall I take it someone was using a doff type system on that one Chris?

I know rhino and overs use bleach and doff's on jobs like that for instant results that is why I asked. That is also on big test patch

Fair play to Chris there he's done a decent job on the building.

The thing is smurf companies pay the right price for jobs like that so this is Chris's line of work, what knowledge he's gained over the years is how he's able to bid/do the job and make it look good, if he was to just put it up here, with the amount of lurkers that come on here, he could well be doing himself out of a job.
Don't get me wrong am sure if you was to speak with him rather than having it put up here he would prob point you in the right direction as to what's what.

As far as the doff cleaning goes, I might need Chris to do a job for me when ( that's if I can save up the £7k odd ) if I get round to getting one

That is what I call big boy's league taking on jobs like that Matty and I can understand why peeps want to keep quiet.
I would also probably poope myself going up in a picker that high now let alone work from one.
