If you have a smart phone for now just try a chepo wifi enabled sj4000 action cam and see how you get on with it.
Those types of action cameras are dead easy to use as you just turn on the wifi on the camera and use the app that comes with it to connect to your smart phone.

This is an example still image taken from a vid whilst viewed in real time of one of the jobs I did today. Only difference I was using a gopro not a sj4000 so the pic quality looks a bit better. Action cams are also very robust and waterproof unlike the overpriced wifi dvr baby monitors being sold at a ridiculous over inflated price as guttercams.

Thank you for reply smurf. I'm using the guttervac this Saturday for first time. Can you get what you talking about in Argos? Thanks again

You can get a number of wifi cameras at Argos. I bought a sony action cam from there which has had some serious mistreatment, it's a very tough camera. they also have a vivitar action cam which is a lot cheaper. As long as it has WiFi and a waterproof case you can't go wrong. (And a smartphone)

Just to correct myself, Argos appear to have changed the description or no longer have the cheaper wifi vivitar.

No if you want one really cheap you would have to order one through the likes of ebay.
Just go on there and search for sj4000 http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR2.TRC0.A0.H0.Xsj4000+wifi.TRS0&_nkw=sj4000+wifi&_sacat=0
or action cams but make sure you you get a wifi enable one, buy spare batteries, charger, card etc.

To fit it the camera on the gutter vac pole you will also need something like a roll cage type clamp and for your smart phone to go on the bottom of the guttervac pole I use a cheapo runners type armband type soft case. If the mounts that comes with the one you chose don't have a handle bar mount you  will have to get one of those too if you want to mount the camera on a wfp for inspection work etc.

Just to point out the price difference sjcam brand are dearer than the copy version so it's up to you what you go for as the cheaper version sold as sj4000 still will do for what you want if for but again make sure you buy one with wifi.
