Ah, I use the QuicK-LoQ™ Angle Adapter (Type 1) Gooseneck.

Though, being a rebel, I change the position of the locking cam so it's on the right hand side and facing away.  Shows just how wacky I am.

Thank you. Do the franchisees do the same?

Yup.  They all also have the extender adapter: http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/water-fed-poles/goosenecks-pole-fittings/plastic-gooseneck-system/quick-loq-extender-angle-adapter.html

That way if there's ever anywhere where they need a sideways reach they can use that in an emergency.  I don't think any of the franchisees have ever used it, but as I've mentioned before we have almost no non-commercial work and residential windows are rarely set back too far.

Swivel neck - nothing else. Why? Because it makes a long collapsed pole more usable. Keeps the brush head flat to the glass and rotates the brush through railings.
Swap it for fixed for gutters and finials.
+1            Although I just tighten the screw when I need a fixed brush head.

i usually use the standard quikloc resi neck for most work and carbon goosenecks for solar panels and a few deep ledge window jobs.however with the release of the univalve i might change to a carbon gooseneck for most work as they are very very light and i can have total water control with a univalve fitted.i currently use a pole hose tap at brush end but i cant use them with a carbon gooseneck fitted.
price higher/work harder!

Nobody in their right mind would put the tap forty feet up on the brush head.

It always seems totally daft to me. Of the two evils, surely a loop and the tap on the pole is the lesser of the two.

Resi Neck Swivel in my opinion the best gadget on the market, did a front yesterday with an awkward window above a porch, stood to one side and hey ho no problem little twist of the pole and got the brush horizontal from an angle, takes a little getting used to but once it's mastered there's no going back, expensive carbon gooseneck consigned to the shed.

How strange: "Micky Barber", the guy who thumbs up many of Chumbucket's posts (currently banned) agrees entirely with his view on swivels.  Why, they could almost be the same person!

You should see what happens when someone spells three words wrongly in half a line.  ;)
