Been trying to take some decent pics of gutter washing for our website and they are so difficult to get right.  That one's one of the better ones I've seen, possibly because of the flash (which I forgot when I was taking mine).

If you have the Photoshop skills and can put some cloud texture into the background, it helps a lot (the wife did it for us).

That's what I don't like about Gardiners clamps - have a habit of coming undone when they get knocked against something.

It's not unlocked, it's just badly adjusted on that resineck. Normally I use a carbon gooseneck, which is correctly adjusted but they're hopeless for fascias.

My wife took that one. It's quite a good camera which definitely helps. A Nikon DSLR. I have some taken with an iphone and they look shoddy alongside.

It looks cleaner than the other bits but if click on the pic you will see the bits you have washed over are still not really that clean.

This photo is probably pants for websites but it was a solution to the customers issue with the inside of the guttering not looking clean from their dormer window. ::)roll

I do hope you charged them extra for that?
I'm also betting you where ticking like a time bomb when they said they wanted the inside of the guttering brought back to white aswell. I know I would have been ;D

Well that's true, but it's clearly a work in progress.  ::)roll

That said, from the ground it's impossible to achieve perfection in my opinion and in any case it's not necessary. The important thing is that the customer was happy. If it was my house I'd have been very satisfied.

They have actually come up very well considering they look as if they haven't been cleaned in ever, normally I find some
like that tend to have a lot of ingrained marks that are very hard to remove, nice job.

The end of your pole looks like a transformer :D
I could use a set up like that, I have a similar job today, f/s/g, con roof and customer wants the insides of the gutters cleaned as the house is going on the market and she wants it like 'new'.

I said I wasn't going up with a cloth but I could do this.... Head butt :)

There's nowt queerer than folk that's for sure.

In all my years doing this type of work I have never been asked to bring the insides of guttering back to white. I suppose that would be called as a separate service something like "internal guttering white upvc restoration work"
However so there is no misunderstanding I do make sure what people want doing and they understand what the quote is for and charge accordingly for either or both services offered below.

1. to check & clear guttering and downspouts & report any issues (does not include any roofline/rainwater goods repairs as would be priced up separately if need be)

2. to wash over outside of guttering, fascia, soffits.

If people started asking for the insides of white gutters to be brought back to white I would probably just give them a ridiculous high price just so to get rid of the crackpots  ;D

In 20 years I've been asked once to do insides of guttering and that was only last year, i almost burst out laughing, i thought I'd heard and seen it all until then, you just never know in our job, it's what i love sometimes. Yesterday i was chatting to a custy and i saw a ten foot overflow pipe sticking out of a fascia, just left as if they had nothing to cut it with so just stuck the whole length in the hole  ;D
