New ladder
« on: February 11, 2016, 09:28:57 pm »
Finally gave up on the telescopic ladder I've been using for Conservatory roofs when mine refused to close down and a section partially collapsed.  Bought one of these instead:

with this:

Bigger to store but one of the franchisees bought one and it looks excellent.

How much were they vin? my extendable ladder does feel a bit bouncy when fully extended and getting a bit stiff when trying to collapse

Stop bragging; if you want to chat him up just say. Innuendos are so yesterday.

Various prices for various lengths, clip styles and materials:

As soon as one of my sections became a little dodgy, I thought of a post by Ian:

Now I don't think any ladder that folds, collapses or otherwise is weakened with joints can be as good as a straight aluminium extrusion but these do look the real deal.  Good find by Jake, one of our franchisees.

Max weight 300lb; the clips look good, lifetime guarantee, about double the price of the telescopic ones they will replace.

Best ladder I've found for deep cleaning conservatory roofs is a conservatory roof ladder funny enough. Or my second favourite is a ladder with and ankalad fitted that can also be used freestanding.

Step ladders and folding type ladders I tend to avoid as are downright dangerous
Obviously it goes without saying whatever ladder you chose to use should be the right ladder for the job.

That's the same one I use Mick  ;)
I use it mostly without the roof part though as find it easier/quicker to use a wfp pole than do it by hand.

The joint is very different in the new ones, hopefully much more secure.  If it's like that it'll be going back.
