Hi all,

I am an undergraduate student from Helsinki University of Technology and I am currently conducting a a special study of high reach window washing industry. An important part of this research is a survey directed to British window cleaners who are using waterfed pole systems for high reach window cleaning.

The survey covers issues such as how water fed pole systems have changed your work, what type of systems you are using, what criteria you have for your waterfed pole system, and what improvements you would like to have for waterfed pole systems.

I sincerely hope that all forum members that are using waterfed pole systems would participate in this survey as all your answers would be highly valuable for my research. I also believe that answering this particular survey should be more interesting to you than any ordinary web survey as it deals with some of the very special issues that are essential in your work.

So please, click to this address http://users.tkk.fi/~trone/wfp/survey.htm and fill in the form. It should take you only about 10-15 minutes.

With best regards,
Mikko Jouhtio

Is there a lot of window cleaners in finland that use WFP!?!

Really few if any. Mostly because there is not same sort of window cleaning market in Finland because of our weather etc. That's why this survey concentrates to British market.  :)

Can you tell me what the point of the survey is, what exactly are you researching, what are you trying to achieve?

Thanks

This research is part of my special study in Helsinki University of Technology's Institute of Strategy and International Business. I'm stuydying the window cleaning industry as a whole, and I'm now concentrating on high reach window cleaning because of its increased popularity. The overall goal of the research is to get quite good coverage of the issues that are characteristics for high reach window cleaning and perhaps also point out some issues that could be improved.

I've been studying about companies in the industry (mainly in the UK) and I've read a lot this forum in order to gain some level of comprehension how the industry works. With this survey, I am hoping to learn more about the end user's point of view to the business.

Thanks to those who have already answered to my survey. I hope that many more will still participate.  :)

Sorry for inconvenience, I don't have a clue why something might have happened. Probably there was some temporary error with the email service in our university. However, now it seems to work properly. Knock-on-wood  ;)

GOOD NEWS: Webform should now work every time properly.

Sorry for the inconvenience. The problem had to do with some web browser not sending the data from the webform correctly. With some assistance from the webmasters in our university, I have now changed the webform to work also in case of these browsers.

So, now all of you who have not yet answered to the survey (or who have had problems with sending the answers), please participate. The address is still the same: http://users.tkk.fi/~trone/wfp/survey.htm

What are you going to do with the findings, will you publish them, who is financing this survey?

In case Mikko does not reply, he is going away for a few weeks and i am sure he will reply when he gets back.

I dont think he is being backed, as he did not know about another forum until i told him , so i dont think it is any one in the industry

Trone,

Done.

If you require any on site demonstrations in Finland, give me a call.

PS:  Congratulations on your Eurovision win, it was by far the best of a bad bunch.  The GB entry deserved "null points" but I think the young school girls probably got us a few votes!!  I would!!
