I is numptyber
« on: February 10, 2016, 08:58:59 pm »
I had a phone call from a customer asking if I could clean her windows asap as neighbours had been having work done and they were filthy.  As I finished a bit early today I called round and cleaned them on the way home, as I was writing the bill I realised that I had cleaned the wrong customers windows,  I don't know why I did it I wrote the details down when she phoned but still went to the wrong customer I  thought they were clean when I was doing them but still carried on.  Will try again tomorrow, numpty.

Reminds me of some yrs ago, i helped out a friend look after another friends window round whildt he went on holiday to Australia. We were doing some nice n easy bungalows. When one old dear was still in bed awake in late afternoon. Starring right at me, looking quite scared n started to lift quilt up to eyes, as if hiding. I thought thats a bit odd. Asked friend to double check which bungalow it should be! Turned out were on wrong street altogether! Glad old dear didnt have heart attack!!

Hands up; I did the same last month.  :'( This is the first time I have ever done that.

Once before I did clean the wrong backs of a long row of terrace houses.

Done it more than once in my 40 yrs on the job. Best one was a couple of yrs back when one of my established customers, an older man asks me to clean his pal's windows in the flat above. Says, 'He's no trouble, money's good etc, etc.' He apparently knew the first job was going to be bad as there was ivy everywhere all up the walls and growing in through the open windows and had agreed to pay the going rate. I spent over an hour on that flat, pulled out all the ivy and got the windows real nice only to descover when I went to collect the money, that when the old fella said the flat above, he meant two floors up.   :'( :'(
Ah well! Hopefully we live and learn
