I'm just working through it today. Had three days off with gales over the past few weeks so I'm behind now.

If there's heavy rain it actually washes alot of the dirt and grit that the wind brings. It's a never ending cycle.

A sick day sounds good though.

ive got a nice easy half day today of very local work then weekend off.who cares what the weather MIGHT do tomorrow?i dont.

its forecast really bad(more storms!) for monday and tuesday next week as well so do you think i should give them scheduled jobs a miss too?

once this attitude takes a grip in your psyche  your doomed!...................to a life of an unreliable window cleaner always scratching about living hand to mouth.

then when it comes to holiday season your struggling to afford a week in bognor.nevermind a week or 2 in the sun in a 5 star hotel!

Yesterday I ended up with half a days work because so many customers said it's pointless due to the incoming weather as within a day or less the windows will be covered in salt yet again.

Dazmond, it depends where you live. I've work in London I do in any weather. On the coast where I live, it's a different story.

Its not just the coast Ross I cleaned my own windows one morning last week and they where that dirty by the end of the day
they looked frosted, there no way I would be happy offering a service like that to a customer.

it must be damn hard for you lot working on the coast and if the weather guys are right we are going to have to get used to lots more stormy weather in the future.

Weather has been workable down south bit blowy at times but you've got to keep going,as for them being dirty a couple of days later that's the way it is they don't have that problem for most of the year so most take it on the chin.

jan this year i was only around £200 down on last year due to being ill and van problems.

Do you work an 8 hour day 6 days a week ? I know I don't, the odd add on job a few extra hours and a few Saturdays will
pull it back easily.

Regardless of the weather I always seem to have done the same when I tott up earnings every month or so,make hay when the sun shines and all that I try to not take days off when the weather is good if I know it's a washout the next day or day after I'll plan to do something then. You should only need a few days a week to earn a really good living in this game.

Totally agree, its pouring down here at the moment so I will just work tomorrow instead, I'm down earnings wise over the last
two months so will put in a few more hours over the next two and do a few extra FSG cleans that I would normally turn down.
There's no need to work in horrendous weather conditions in this game if you don't want to.
Iv already met my weekly target this week so tomorrow will be a catch up day.

That's it m8 no point in worrying about it anyway just try and get  things done when you can,if you think about how many days you get rained off to a point you can't do anything that day it's not many days over a month down south anyway I know the weather is more challenging up north though.

sean ive been cleaning clean windows today!(4 weekly work)they were virtually spotless and this is after all the storms the last few weeks!

ive no idea why?maybe vision is keeping the windows cleaner longer?i dunno but most windows took me around  10 seconds to clean(including frames)and quite a few properties had large farmers fields behind them.all customers paid me as well bar one.

I've been noticing a lot of the windows I have been cleaning lately are very clean still as well.
