Pub Chair cleaning times
« on: February 03, 2016, 05:17:51 pm »
Did 48 chairs, 20 stools & 18 benches yesterday and today, just thought I would give you the times so you can use it to quote any similer jobs you might come across.

We did it Tuesday & today starting at 7:30am and left at 10:30am. the bar was opening at 11am so we needed to be gone by then. We carried them out of the bar onto the outside patio, the first day we did the chairs and 15 stools

A. 2 man team

Used 17lts of  restormates powdered ' microsplitter' in an electric sprayer, rinsed with  cold water.

Had my helper carrying out the chairs prespray and scrub them,  I extracted them. He had a bar of felts napther in his pocket I told him any stains that still showed after scrubbing rub with the bar and scrub again.

The hardest thing was being constantly bent over, it made my backache  :'(

Every item was really bad.

Slow coach. ;D
During cruise ship refits we can do 550 dining chairs in a day, that's a three man team, one spraying, two cleaning.  Cleaning time per chair is around 1.5 minutes, that's seat pad, backrest and back panel.
Did 1,100 in two days once. Best done either on your knees or sitting on a chair.
That might sound mighty fast and you could think we couldn't possible be doing them properly - no chance, they are done to perfection, but then when you do so many you soon find the most efficient way of doing them.

Did I mention the 53 coffee breaks ŵe had, we actually only spent 17minutes actually cleaning ;D

Works out we were doing a chair every 8 seconds ;D

Really..... Just worked it out we took 2.4 minutes ( 145 seconds ) for each chair, that's for a 2 man team

I carry a bar in my pocket on most jobs, any mark that doesn't come out when wanding is rubbed with it then I give it the shoe-shuffle aggatation then wand again.

If a stain doesn't come out with fels then I know it's going to need specialist work

You talking about the Felts Bar? I think you can only get them from the US.
