This ones a bit dearer but wondering if a good buy as a gutter cam.

I can't see anything in the description about wifi so I doubt it..

You can't beat the sj4000 cameras for gutter clearing I have a fake one that I got off ebay cost me £30 and it's been brilliant...The originals are around £60..

Wifi ones are no good as they need to be connected,im thinking possibly bluetooth maybe but i think you really need to see what you are doing whilst the vac is working in the gutter as saves a lot of time

A cheper version of a sjcam sj4000 seems to work just as well as an expensive GoPro as I found out on my little jolly with Lance the other week as he brought one along with him to try out. I think Lance mentioned he paid about £40 for his. As you can see from the example pic attached its good enough for gutter clearing work.

And yes wifi enable gopro type camera is a must if you want to view what you are doing from the ground in real time, take still images, vids from your smart phone etc using the app provided. It's as simple as turning on the wifi on the camera and using the app on your smart phone to connect directly to the camera. Downside to wifi enabled gopro type cameras they eat battery life so always best to carry a few spare batteries to swap over if need be.

When ordering extra batteries, charger etc best double check first with the camera supplier you have actually bought it from as they seem to differ in actual physical dimensions. So for instance an original GoPro Hero 3+ which I use and have several spare batteries and mains fast charge the batteries may not fit a cheaper type copy.

Hi  Clive, No not got a camera or gutter vac.

Thinking of it though.

Had trouble with my shoulder which turned me off the idea of gutter vacs.

Done some kettle bells and shoulder feeling better.

So thinking about it again.

Even if you don't own a guttervac but still do gutter clearing using a gopro type camera on a wfp will save the hassle of getting the ladders of the van when giving quotes as only takes mins to do.

Turst me it's always best to look inside all the gutters first before giving anyone a price as you never know what you will find.

Problem I have is (particularly when recording) when there is a weak/poor signal the screen freezes for a few seconds, could be down to interference from other signals.
I'll be trying a wired camera but as yet there's no apps for it to work with my Windows phones or my old android tablet or a Sony M4 aqua. Also I ordered the 5 metre instead of 10 
You can see why people just buy them from their gutter vac suppliers!

Most suppliers sell crap wifi baby monitors at over inflated prices.

I was intrigued  to find out though that Gardiners are selling wired gutter cam systems now. That's probably because Alex sells the poles to the firm that puts them together maybe so is a win win for both parties

I seen that along with the long long spiel about people like me trying to find different cameras.
£130 Sony secured to the angle pipe, large Nokia phone in a sports armband dose the job well. These other cameras are dirt cheap so it's more fun trying them.

I realise autum must be best for gutter clearing but how do find it.

I can imagine it could get busy in summer odd thunderstorms heavy rain showing up blocked downpipes.

I see one of your pics with gutter guards is that up the ladder, remove, clean put guards back?

I would give that a miss, realise gutter clearing can't always be ladderless with vacs.

The way I look at it is I'm offering a service which can deal with the issues that commonly arise with guttering (unless the property is surrounded with electricity cabling). If others aren't equipped for this then should I be advertising as a "specialist"

Oh so because I'm local and probably far more professional and trustworthy you thought you would chance your penny pinching miserably short arm that can't reach your deep pocket and ask me to price match some rodent.
Here was me thinking I was out of my moaning faze.

Easy ladder access jobs you will find many trad cleaners still charge a ridiculously low price to check & clear guttering & downspouts out by hand. The more difficult and awkward jobs they don’t  bother with as is too much hassle for them to do for the pittance they would want to charge.

I received three calls in one day during the week from barter types insisting on a best price over the phone as they do. So by the time I added arsehole tax onto already overinflated estimates they hung up.  Needless to say I did not hear from any of them again thank goodness. From experience those types are generally a pain in the arse to deal with so best stay well clear.

One thing you will notice once you have all the gear is that you will get asked to quote more bad access/awkward jobs that others either don't want or physically can't do. More often than not if you ask about the windows too they will say "that's ok we already have a regular window cleaner"
