You can probably get waterproof pants on the NHS.
I bought two Trespass with company logo waterproof jackets in January last year for £40 each. Both are stil perfectly fine. I can't see the point of top of the range jackets for work. I occasionally climb a flat roof not Scafell Pike!

I use Paramo for 10deg and aboveAnd buffalo mountain shirt for 10deg and belowBoth aren't cheap but mine are over 10 years old .
the thing is i destroy waterproof shell jackets after about 18 months-2 years.even the expensive ones lose their ability to keep you dry no matter what you do with them after a while.then the zips break and holes appear in the pockets.were all being ripped off with these jackets.if i buy the cheap jackets though they dont last 3 months and dont keep you dry at all.
