There is literally zero waste when it's producing pure, then it flushes for 5 minutes every hour. It's weird!
An ro should always have waste, I would look into that before you murder your membrane.

Is your ball valve for the waste closed too far?
Really you should be getting a ratio of 50/50 or thereabouts, shouldn't have more pure than waste because the membrane will take the hit and expire fairly rapidly.
However with all that said on 35 psi tap pressure you really do need a booster pump in my opinion because your 4040 membrane won't be performing anything like what is achievable with 80-100 psi pressure.
At the higher pressure it will purify water quicker and you should be getting a low Pure tds reading (in single figures).
