Spiders Nests In Top Corners of Frame
« on: January 22, 2016, 11:57:57 am »
Is there a technique to removing spiders nests from the top corners of frames on upper windows with WFP? Sometimes I am able to tease them out with the brush but on other occasions I just have to leave them. I've not had any complaints - it's just a bit frustrating that I can't remove them.

What flow rate, type of jets and wfp brush are you using?

I'm using a flow rate of 26 on a Gardiner's CLX-22 with a medium mixed dual trim brush. I also use a brush bumper (from Gardiner's).

You could also try a gardiner super scraper to tease them out also https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZgFf2ahx28
I tend to use the same stiff sill brush with fan jets on high flow rate as in the vid.

Are you using a backpack/trolley as 26 is a very low flow rate?

Thanks Smurf. I'll look at increasing my flow rate to start off with & see how I go. The scraper looks interesting - might order one .... Do you use a sill brush & fan jets for all window cleaning?

Here is the link for the super scraper as are cheap as chips to buy which should solve your problem. http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/water-fed-poles/brushes/brush-head-attachments/the-new-super-scraper-trade.html

Yes I use a stiff sill brush & fan jets on a high flow rate of between 50- 99 depending on what I cleaning.
I also use hot/warm water and vision x too but will probably get some stick for mentioning vision again. ;D
