Pay Pal Here
« on: January 21, 2016, 07:45:33 am »
Hi all.  Does anyone here use PayPal Here to take credit/debit card payments?  It looks like a nice system, but is pretty expensive (2.75% apparently ) - although there are no monthly fees.  Anyone have any comments or other recommendations?

hi rob
weve used this for about 6mths now and yes it is a little expensive, but it does pay to accept it
as you said its a one off payment for machine,so no monthly rentals
ide rather get paid and loose a little than have to chase for payments,on a few occasions my guys have added the fee to the bill,if ikea can do it why cant we?????
mostly we suck the 2.5% up
apperently it does become cheaper the more you use it,but we dont advertise the fact that we accept it yet,
so cant honestly say at the moment
good luck with it if you decide to use it,and this is only my opinion

We use world pay zinc, have done for about 2 years now, Hardly use it but when we do its worth it. Great service, easy to setup and use and fast delivery.
Mainly use it on end of tenancies where they are moving on or we take payment over the phone before we do the job if they can't be present.
Money in your account in 3 to 4 working days. i would check "paypal here" to see when they deposit your money as a few guys have told me it can take a while.
Definitely worth having if you don't intend to take many credit card payments. purely for the option and its there in an emergency.
If you decide on www.worldpayzinc.com then use this code for £10 off the termnal FR577447  ;) :)

We use Worldpay for our online payments as well as Paypal. Worldpay are faultless and in over 10 years of using them have not had one issue.

Paypal on the other hand are a bloody nightmare.

Had the ability to take credit/debit cards for about 2 years now and can count on both hands the number of times I've used it.
Straightforward bank transfer for commercials and the rental property guy I use and same for eot where the tenant won't be there.
Never had a problem and the money is there within an hour or so of them paying and no charges.
Think taking payment by card will become a thing of the past for paying for services soon.
When I think back not one service tradesman I have employed has ever offered me the option of card payment.
Impossible done straight away, miracles can take a little longer.

Yep the Paypal system works well....until there is a problem. You'd be better off trying to speak to the Queen it would be easier. If you are only doing a few transactions then it should be fine however we do hundreds every month.
