Neck protech

Does anyone use one of these and are they any Good?

I'm finding my neck is aching quite badly after work lately and seem to be getting a slight headache from looking up all day.

I tried one and have had and am having neck problems. You're welcome to give me a call if you want to chat about what I did in the end. Steve 07976 913111

Lovely piece of kit, use it when my neck doesn't even hurt. Especially on FSG

Yep I carry one in the van and use it sometime that's if I remember to put it on.
I noticed a while ago you can also can get periscope type glasses for looking up without having to lean your head backwards but never got around to trying a pair of those.

Good point as standing further back does help but also depends on access, height of the building and what you are trying to clean at the time too.

A Gardiner carbon 45 degree gooseneck helps tremendously with this if anything it makes you stand further back to get the right angle on the glass. When it gets quiet bad it can almost make you feel like you've got a tick when you get home with your neck twitching.

In my case I have had dizziness & nausea caused by WFP.

For me the only effective treatment is deep tissue work on the neck & shoulders. I had it a year ago & I'm having a recurrence. It's much better following two treatments.

Them neck things look good and great if they help, but there not for me. When the neck starts to ache at the back, I use the old fashioned way and just tilt it forward for a minute, a few circular rolls of me head til it stops cracking, and carry on.

Am having more problems with me shoulders than anywhere else, scrubbing scrubbing and scrubbing some more getting 8 years of moss off.

The thick stuff comes off easy it's were it's gone black underneath and like a carpet,  virosol doesn't have longer enough on it before it's a scraper on a pole time

I might order a pair of these to try as are cheap and seem to have good reviews from climbers http://www.belayglasseslp.com/english/buy-your-pair-1/

Still was just thinking those belay glasses would make you look a lot cooler than using a neck protech as wearing that thing defo makes you look like a right plonker for sure https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wK5_cUR4iKk
However the up side is some customers pity you if notice your wearing a neck protech as they think you have damaged your neck badly but still need to carry on working. Some even give a nice big fat tip too  ;D

If you need to use the neck protect do so.
Don't be put of by your own  negative thoughts that you will look like some kind of wally.
Get over it and think of your health.

If in doubt.....Leave it out !!

Suffered for 10 years with headaches and painful shoulder and also pain under rib cage

Last 4 months only once when I over did it few days ago, more in control now

Every two weeks a full deep therapy massage and I've bought electric reel this has helped the most as one side my body isn't over tight creating problems On the other side also working with lightest pole possible

But as many have said changing your position standing further back swapping from left handed too right and also keeping trim and can often help,
but sadly wfp is a repetitive job now and it will mean these problems will affect most of us at some point  during our working career especially as we get older sometimes they'll go, other times you have to learn how to effectively manage them

Hope you find what's best for you
