Regards,
Richard,

I've been  on the nulife course and absolutely loved it.
Also have a chat with John kelly at restoremate, he puts on a stone floor course that is also brilliant, its run by steve riley of the advance group, who also does a concrete polishing course as well. Steve and john kelly will be at the TACCA training day in May if you want to come and have a chat with them. you can decide if its right for you or not, you will also get to see Alex and Martin from Tilemaster as they will be there as well showcasing the tilemaster. Great opportunity to find out if stone floor is for you. Tickets on sale tomorrow.

Can I come and bring a Klindex Rocky?  We could build a 20 M2 uncalibrated slate floor and Alex & Martin can do half with their Tile master and I will do the other half with a Klindex Rocky and a wet vac?  I will even build the floor free of charge and stain it and they can have the choice of which half they want to do?  What a great demo in front of all those TACCA members to show just how good the TILEMASTER is!!!  To give people a comparison we could invite Tadgh and he could let Martin & Alex do a 1/3rd of the floor with his super compacted melamine pads on the Tilemaster.  ??????

Kevin do you realise a cylindrical brush floor scrubber will be more effective for deep cleaning slate floors, why would you want to bring a Rocky when its fact that a cylindrical machine with contra rotating medium stiff brushes is far more effective when deep cleaning slate floors than using your usual recommended soft to medium brushes with a rotary, it dose not matter whether its a Klindex or a Numatic the cylindrical machine will leave them both behind with results when it comes to deep cleaning slate floors. ??? ???

Bring a cylindrical machine as well then!  Any particular make / model you can recommend?  How much do they cost?  It will make it even more interesting with 3 different machines won't it?

But Tadgh lets face it ultimately at the end of the day regardless of floor finish or type the Rocky can do any floor,  it has no limitations regardless of finish,  no expensive additional machines or pads to buy, it is quick and efficient and even gives the professional user the option to use  a system like compressed melamine pads as well if they want to.

You just don't get it do you Kevin.
And its a shame cos you have tons to offer.

Let me try one more time and then i promise i will give up on you completely and i won't bother you on here any more. The tile master works, , cheetah pucks work,  what tadgh sells works, what you sell works. How do i know, cos ive spoken to people who have made good money using those systems with very happy customers.
Theres more than one way to skin a cat, might not always be the best way but as long as the cat gets skinned and everyones happy (apart from the cat obviously  ;D ) then who gives a hoot.
Its not about whats the best this and the best that , we all know your stuff is the best ;D, but not everybody can afford the best, not everybody needs the best. The best doesn't always sit right in someone elses set up. Do you own the best car???
In an ideal world i'm sure everyone would buy off you but everyone's different, and the sooner you respect your fellow tradesmen and the alternatives they offer, the sooner you can be respected enough to help everyone out regardless of what they are running. I'm pretty confident that guys that excel with the tilemaster will start to look for more advanced ways of cleaning and restoring hard floors, But i'm also confident that 90% would stear clear of companies that slated them in the early days. Think about that!
Anyway, the answer is, NO, we don't want you to do a challenge, TACCA days are about showing people whats out there , once they know and theyve seen the choices, they can actually make up there own mind.

"Tilemaster!!! yeah, nice bit of kit that, should make you a nice bit of money, when you wanna move on into more advanced  stuff and you have a bigger budget, come see me" Now that would be nice to hear once and a while Kev but guess who aint holding there breath on that one?.  ;D

Anyway, i'm off to seal a floor with some inferior sealer, hope the customer doesnt find out or i'll never work in this town again. Should of gone to marblelife eh. LOL
Just joking, have a nice day Kev.

Tickets are on sale for the training day now glenny so if you want to come along then you can get tickets here

Bet you wouldn't get into TACCA if you owned up to having one...... ;D
Impossible done straight away, miracles can take a little longer.

Derek

I get it all!   It is you that has the wrong end of the stick!

It is you that fails to understand me and in general you misinterpret my posts.

I am not the only Restoration Company or Stone Professional in the UK or the World.  I don't claim to be the best either!  But we do sell and INDEED USE the best all round equipment for cleaning and restoration that WE have found trialled and tested.

However, that said I am always looking to improve and upgrade my equipment not only for myself but to improve and advance the stone restoration industry for others as well.  So to that end,  we regularly trial as many other products as possible to see if we can improve anything covering Equipment, Cleaners and Sealers.

"Sure the TILEMASTER has its place and indeed I get good reports that it produces good results in lots of situations"

Not quite your:

"Tilemaster!!! yeah, nice bit of kit that, should make you a nice bit of money, when you wanna move on into more advanced  stuff and you have a bigger budget, come see me"

My intention of wanting to come to TACCA to do a demonstration WAS NOT intended to try and prove anything or show anyone up or even to promote products!!!  it was purely to see how the machines compare and meet some of the CIU and TACCA Members.

In your own words

"Anyway, the answer is, NO, we don't want you to do a challenge, TACCA days are about showing people whats out there , once they know and theyve seen the choices, they can actually make up there own mind. "

If there is no comparison, other choices or alternatives people attending don't get any of the above do they????

I have also just realised I am actually not available that weekend either so it doesn't matter anyway does it?

Kevin i have never knocked the Rocky as i know them to be a very reliable and well built machine, was just sharing from my own experience if deep cleaning slate tiles i would of found a cylindrical floor scrubber with contra rotating medium stiff brushes to be more effective in removing compacted soils from within the nooks and crannies on slate tiles as the bristles on the cylindrical brushes can reach deeper into the nooks and crannies than if you were using a rotary with a brush pad, again just from my own experience. Don't worry about it over all the years i spent deep cleaning slate floors always found using  cylindrical machines with the right type brushes far more effective than using a rotary with a brush pad especially when removing compacted soils which were always a caused from the continuous use of cotton string mops,  many a time had to use carborundum brushes on the cylindrical machine as the soils would be so heavily compacted in the nooks and crannies.

Hi Guys,

This really needs to stop now, let's not make this into a place for digging at each other. This town is big enough for all of us, let's play nice and respect each other please. The last thing we want to do is put members off posting and asking for advice for fear of topics/posts turning into this.

Thanks for all understanding.
