Anyone got any good recommendations for shoes/boots that last well?

Tired of wet feet. Doesn't seem to matter how much I spend...within weeks the sole has a hole in and I'm soaked every day.
I'm obviously heavy footed, so I bought some jelly heel inserts, but this time the toe end wore through 

Help please. The missus can't wash my socks quick enough!
