Pump inlet/ outlet
«

Hi guys. I'm going to mount a shurflo pump today.. I've used the search engine and it is recommended to mount the shurflo pump with the writing upside down and water inlet and outlet at the bottom. What's confusing me is looking at pump upside down, which is the inlet
Or doesn't it matter? Thanks in advance

There's an arrow on it normally giving direction of flow. Moulded in the plastic cap.

The reason they are mounted that way is to protect the electrics should it leak.
