Hi mate,

In 8weeklys topic you said you use JG fittings on your system... What hose/fittings do you use to connect to reel?

Cheers

Dave, I use Gardena fitting ( same as hozelock ) and the brass swivel elbow none of them have ever leaked cheaper copycat hozelock fitting nearly always drip/leak after a week or two

Hi mate, its an unfair question lol. I have cox reels and the brass block assembly is about £140.

So i have a brass swivel block connected with these http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/pump-hose/hose-fittings-adapters/garden-hose-couplings/quick-release-shut-off-coupling-with-a-hose-barb.html

You can pick up those dodgy swivel elbow thingies for about £10 but they usually leak tbh.

Just about to buy a power up HD to try though on my next setup/van and the swivel on those looks good !

8 weekly asked about pump fittings.

On my pumps i have these....

http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/pump-hose/john-guest-fittings/1-2-fittings/john-guest-a-push-in-fitting-to-a-female-screw-bsp-thread-socket.html

I would never EVER use a system without JG fittings now. Leak free a year and half on.

I use these swivels, they are fitted to the sealey metal hose reel and you can get them direc my from sealey for roughly £17 delivered, much better than the brass hose lock swivels.

You can yes. There are several ways of doing it but I find this way is still the best.

The fitting I posted above would screw onto pumps then you use these.

http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/pump-hose/john-guest-fittings/1-2-fittings/a-john-guest-stem-to-a-barb.html

Barbed bit is perfect fit for garden hose. I use a crimped 1/2 inch speed clip/o clip.

You can convert it to this if you want as well by using the first fitting I posted. Then a small piece of half inch JG hose. Then one of these.

http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/pump-hose/john-guest-fittings/1-2-fittings/a-john-guest-tube-to-garden-hose-coupling.html

Still prefer barbed fitting as less connections/chances of leaks.

I haven't been able to find those on the Sealey site Lee GLS. Are they a special order do you know?

Your partner?

If not I was thinking of the pump complete with fittings maybe (inlet and outlet)
