Well worth it in my opinion, gives me a little rest in between jobs while reeling in.
Once set up rarely needs any maintainance and to wire up its only a live and earth with a fuse and switch thrown in the line unless you want to throw a wireless switch in but for me personally I like to be at van with a rag holding hose while pressing button!!
One of the best things I put in my set up ;)

Very good sturdy product I think he know does a better reel version these days,as said it takes minutes to fix it to your setup providing you pay for it to come assembled I wouldn't buy one no already assembled it looks a complete nightmare to put together from scratch.

Just for the fat and lazy aren't they ? ;D

but seriously, don't know much about these.
Can you adjust speed of them ?
If the hose snags on something does the the motor cut out ?

i have had  one of these for a bout 18mnths you have to keep  keep a eye on them  they get snagged easy. and a ball ache to untangle the hose when warm is a pain when winding in its like trying to wrap a snake. also when hose is full its needs a bit off a helping hand.having said all that its better than reeling by hand .but its over priced imo/but you don't have to buy one

if you have a decent fixed reel in your van its virtually effortless to reel in your hose.

ive got a redashe reel in mine.its so smooth and fast.power up reel is defo not needed.
price higher/work harder!

I have my reel fitted to the inside of the roof, it's so easy to wind in, I can understand it more if your reel is not fitted down as this takes a lot more effort to reel in, and you find yourself having to hold the reel down with ur foot

Had the power  UPHD (fixed one) for about 3 months. Had a few issues. Unwinding itself and hose slipped a few times and chain came off.
I will say this
Wouldn't be without one. I am old, fat and lazy. My joints are screwed and this saves my life

why make life hard for yourself when you can make it easy, the way i see it is we all want to use better brushes, lighter stronger poles etc then why not upgrade the reel too?
worth every penny in my mind and after just finishing a really dirty first clean or big commercial theres nothing better than pressing a button and guiding all that hose in without having to manually reel it in ;D

plus quicker time is money ;D , why would you buy a lighter pole cos its better  than   lugging  the old alli type .
