Blew fuse in custys house on Thursday. Smell of burning and vac  2 was the problem. Changed it but now vac 1 sounds like bag of spanners and smells burning.  Is it usual for them both to go at same time?

Or maybe it's just the brushes?  But where are they found

See the split in the black plastic cover . One on the other side too . Pull the split apart while pulling up . The cover will come off with a yank .
The brushes are under the split area .

Sure . The brush is just a rectangular piece of carbon stuff spring loaded to make contact with the motor . Try a look in sideways and see if it's still making contact or if there's a gap or its really short .
The brush is removed by lifting the metal bit in the pic with the red dot on it with a screwdriver and pulling the whole thing out with a plyers .
U need a paper clip to get it back in though .

It's gone weird. That top vac that was making bad noises is now fine. Think it had a bit of crap in it (poss when other vac went?). But now new vac sounds awful! Maybe that's now got a bit of crap in so will remove and look.

Must of been debris after vac went. New one now ..

odd ,   what happens when try and spin the vac fan stages  with your finger , like twist and spin the nut in the center or twist the  propeller on the back .

It may run freely as is, but when spinning at however many rpms it's gonna be seriously unbalanced.  Perhaps worth questioning the build of the vac that blew initially, if machine isn't to old the supplier may replace it in good will.

I had nick replace a jag vac after he had inspected and seen it was a motor defect,  no quibble free change over. Could have been a bad vac

What make of vac?
I saw something similar when I put an Electro in my Airflex and tightened it down too much, this nipped the "cans" in the stages together and jammed with a hell of a noise. Luckily I could get them apart again and it worked fine.

Ive just opened my enforcer for the first time.... i think the vacs are a 5.7 electro & a 7.2 bottom one... am i right?

Mines 5.7 electro on top and a 5.7 electro hd on bottom

Did you sort your vac in the end?  i think you could still go bigger in there though... ill be going to 6.7 for the top vac i think

Davep  been alot of water getting on that vacum in tge photo with the rust on mate I had that problem  when I was putting it on its back in the van water would get through to the I side cis that me new pump and motor over time

never seen that ... on the enforcer ?  mine is dry inside . Are u emptying the water to below the immersion mark , about an inch or so , perhaps u are leaving too much water in there ?

7.2 is an option when order the enforcer i believe . Most have the 1600w electro down the bottom
