Cleaners Mate - Restoring backup
« on: December 07, 2015, 03:43:49 pm »
Hi,
I have purchased a new computer and I want to transfer all the data stored on Cleaners Mate.
I back up data on a regular basis but I just cannot see an option to restore it?
I have emailed Cleaners Mate but had no response as of yet.
Thanks.
Simon

I dont have it myself.
But I guess there must be a folder on your computer such as c:/cleanersmate/data where all the info is kept.
Copy that to a cd or external drive, put it in the new computer, copy and paste that folder to the same location on the new pc as it is on the old pc.
That might do it? I could be typing BS, but have a look.

Thinking of getting Cleaners Mate myself.

Hi Simon

Did you not get my email from this morning? If not check your junk folder just in case. Let me know either way, I can let you know on here if need be (it takes 30 seconds to restore).

Cheers

Hi,
Nothing I am afraid.
If you could post the details on here that would be great. :-)
Thanks.

No problem Simon - I sent you another email earlier too...

Ok, rather than me giving you a direct link to the video to show you how to do it - I'll tell you how to get to it because that way you know where to go next time should you need help with anything else.

Go to: www.cleanersmate.co.uk

Click on Features in the menu, then click Help Tutorials and find the video called Restore a Database.

Hope that helps!
