I am doing adwords for a few people got Google certified earlier this year and i am also in the process of opening a gift shop with my wife, previously had my own gift shop for 17 years.

reduce one slice of the pie (sinners circle) and you need to increase one of the others. so if you work without heat you need to increase say mechanical action.  or dwell times. that.s why people use microsplitter with these machines

  Ian I dont think thats the reason , as you can buy a inline heater if you need heat, or you can use a decent crb .

I think that the majority of scorpion users in my experience are  dedicated cc that strive to clean carpets to the best of their abilities in a eco manner and that's a reason they may use microsplitters ,also they tend to work in a market area where they are cleaning carpets that are not that dirty, so there is no necessity for heat, but strive for faster drying times  .

They tend to work on a repeat work culture instead of the  high numbers game that allows them to avoid advertising cut price offers and advertising low cost fb ads.

this doesn't apply to all but from what I have seen it seems to be the case . I don't own one and still don't use heat very often

Seriously Neil ? the idea that scorpion owners were swaning around selecting only clean high end carpets to work on  ? 
That might be you after a while in business , but most scorpion owners are or were doing whatever has to be done when the phone rings .
Micro spliter eco friendly ?  ( the whole eco thing is a sales gimmick at best ) but microsplitter is just a nonsence word for phosphate in a can of water ....  phosphate has being linked with Eutrophication , eco frinedly ?   compared to what ... cirtus prespray for eg had d-limonine and a conconut oil based surfactant  ... but hey its one of of those ' harmfull detergents ' ?

As for the no heat needed thing , came about in two ways as far as i can see , firstly the dishonest enviorment of cleantalk , rumors like this take hold and were encouraged buy the sales shills as it became a USP in its own rightfor their chemicals  , but in reality heat will always speed up a chemical reaction ,  it also suited solutions as they had no heat to sell ,  ED V s only effort at machine heat was a 1KW bucket heater from his local pound shop and who would supply solutions with inline heaters ... not the UK guys ... and not Mytee as they hate ED.V

really the machine is pos best confined to history , and the cleaning concept is history best confined to cleantalk .

Yes there is training or studying you need to do as the exams are quite difficult although in multiple question format and you need to dedicate the time to train.  I used ipassexam.com to practice on and a chap called Jeff Sauer who is an Adwords expert to learn how to really do Adwords  www.ppccourse.net, the exams are free to take but studying etc. you are looking at £200 + and  a solid amount of time to dedicate to learning. If you just want to learn Adwords i wouldn't bother taking exams unless you want to sell your services as it is only a badge to say you have passed an exam, which you have to re-take every year if you want to remain certified by Google.  Good book i would recommend is Advanced Google Adwords by Brad Geddes about £20 off Amazon.

Thanks Richard,  was just interested, I've been doing adwords since 2007 so am fairly clued up with whats involved and have done it for a few others, but wondered what was involved in being certified as it does add a bit of credibilty to what you do.

The thing is with adwords is its changing all the time so you do have to keep up with it and keep learning..

As you can see from the highlighted text It is all my opinion and experience . I dont own one and most probably never will as they do not fit in with my marketing structure.

As far as I'm concerned they are all the same squirt and suck machines . each with their own plus,s and negatives its what ever suits the business  .

If I was just after lots of business and working flat out doing everything I would want a machine that was lightweight had auto fill and dump with a separate inline heater and a high psi balanced with good vacs  , good reliability and a good back up from the supplier .

the storm and the scorpion are far to big for my needs you see john everybody's needs are different.

And as far as eco goes I just use shockwave all the time hardly  eco but suits the business model most of the time .
the micro splitters and colloid cleaners would be my first choice if doing my own carpets as i have found them to resoil less than the other solutions such as powerburst and other high ph cleaners

Got to say i have tried MPower again for the last 4 days - used it on a 3ps on Thursday that was doggy smelly and proper grubby from the dog and it cleaned really well.

So i've used it on just about all the carpets/rugs for the last 4 days as a prespray and its worked good on all of it, synthetic and wool. I use to use it before a while back but went to other things. Now i've tried it again its going well.
