Most popular duel brand combo
« on: November 11, 2015, 09:09:32 pm »
We all have our favourite pre spray, in tank solution and supplier.
We all (I think) have  our go to products for 95% of jobs
I am just interested in how many people mix brands and feel they get great results I.e Alltec citrus pe spray with dfc 210 in tank for example.

Why I am asking the question is someone on here said they use a bio clean pre spray and formula 90 in tank real nasty carpets, it's not something I have ever thought about.
So what's your favourite mismatch combo?

Of the ones u mentioned ,  dfc 210  seems to one of those products that contains flip all  ,  its selling point seems to be what it doesn't contain  ,  ' safe for chemically sensitive people ' it says .
and then lists just about everything it does not contain but tells u little about what it does contain .
It does contain washing soda ...  and like the ' microsplitters' and similar products there is probably little else to it .
So u are adding citrus prespray ...  which contains what the dfc 210 is missing to become a proper complex cleaning mix  ,  ie a solvent  , and a wetting agent .
So bacially u were ripped off in the first place and u corrected it by adding the second product .

The second example ...  formula 90 is a complex mix unlike the dfc  , but its a powder and the surfactant percentage is low , probably simple due to the manufacturing process , from what iv read to get some of these surfactants infused into the powder , the powder is dropped through a jet mist of the surfactant . So it may not be practical to get a high percentage in there . By adding the bio clean you are adding a good percentage surfactant and thus improving the cleaning power of your detergent mix .

Not sure what the most popular is but I have tried all sorts of combos just to see what happens. This week i have tried Pureclene and liquid ultimate master.  Powerburst and liquid ultimate master. Pureclene boosted with Evans oxy powder with craftex cherry fragrance extracted with both Extraction Pro then I tried liquid ultimate master. I also tried oxy boosted Powerburst. I have loads of loads of stuff in the garage I keep buying and seeing if its any better than what I normally use so I'm trying to use it all up.

I like to be daring!!

If I'm making myself a drink I might use coffee from tescos and milk from sainsburys, if I'm desperate I might use the cheap stuff from lidl

Think about it ;) .........this answer isn't as flippant as it first appears :)

I'm suggesting the end result is the same on matter who's chemicals you use or mix.

just like baking a cake, you can get your ingredients from  10 different shops the cake will still taste the same.

Lots of different companies make the same product with different names but the ingredients are the same, when you start understanding the chemistry of cleaning Then  combining companies products becomes part of the job

Recently I have started tipping half used sprayers full of prespray into the rinse tank , so along with water it is very much diluted , more stains are definately removed without the use of spotters.
I clean carpets
