2 X 10 inch DI vessels, queery
« on: November 08, 2015, 11:35:49 am »
im using 2 x 10 inch DI vessels atm,      can anyone help explain or use the same set-up,       my second DI vessel only seems to fill half way with water feed from the first DI vessel.      is this normal or should the 2nd vessel  also be filling to the top,

its not having any effect on the pure water discharging from it.

it just seems strange the vessel isnt filling up to the top.

another queery ???
my tds from old membranes was 15 leaving 300 RO,        AND PURE WAS COming out at 002  from di ,

new membranes fitted the pure is now 005  before DI vessels.        still coming out of DI vessels at 002,      i thought with the decrease from   15  to  005     it would have come out 000,  but not the case.

looks like resin will need changing also.

Hi Johnny, I've got twin DI vessels and the second does exactly the same, only partially fills but water comes out pure! So nothing to worry about.
It should though, produce 000 ppm after going through RO and DI I would have thought. When's the last time you changed the resin? Seems like it's due!

If it was coming out at 002 it won't make a differences  by just changing membranes

If you have fitted new RO membranes they can take a really good flush and few days to settle down , You may need to also change your pre-filters more often

Do  you not  mean you have changed your pre-filters  below RO membranes ,  If you need a DI Vessel after RO then you defo need bigger than the tiny 10 inch  vessel typically  fitted to an RO system .

What is your tap TDS before RO i thought it was hard water over your way .

i may have a air lock in a di  vessel,      il remove inner tubes and replace,

pre filters new
membranes new,

leaving ro    @  005tds,      low enough for my 10 inch DI vessels i think
