Tubeless conversion update.
« on: November 06, 2015, 05:07:44 pm »
Listened to customer feed back, and come up with this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a28q3qOHyb4&feature=youtu.be
This way you can try the tubeless system without needing to cut your water fed pole.
After you have used it this way and are confident that you like the conversion, then you can remove the spacer and remove 8cm from the base of your top section :).

Why do you need to cut the pole, i am confused lol  ???

I have the extremes with metal bands, i read the other thread as well.

Would i have to use the plastic 8cm tube on the extremes?

I'm still a bit confused as to why the pole needs cutting..?

I was going to try it on my 45ft but i have a job or two where the full length is needed so dont really want to cut it down...
Why don't you have a quick google before making stupid comments?

to make room for the connector to be inside the pole , its all in the video

This video is mainly for slx/clx poles.
I am producing  base cap that will allow you to use tubeless with an Xtreme pole with metal bands.
The spacer method will not work as an Xtreme has metal clamping bands
It will work with Xtreme without metal bands and the spacer only needs to be 4cm not 8cm

If you don't want to remove 8cm from the top section, just leave the spacer inplace.

Nice one, so its more of a case of making sure the connector is inside the pole when the pole is collapsed?

So technically, on the 45ft, I might not have to cut anything down as the length from the first section to the last (when collapsed) might be enough to make sure the connector is inside the pole?

Either that or use this spacer which might make more sense as i never use the 45ft when collapsed as I'd then go get a smaller pole...

Will give this a go me thinks, ta

That's right, so no need to remove any of the pole section.

I am hoping to look into this then.

I have made a massive mistake on my roller setup and the tubeless idea could fix it completely.

Please let me know if there is a solution on extremes with these new base caps!
